A little hello to all the new faces around here! 🤎
I thought I’d introduce myself properly because there’s been a few new followers lately!
I’m Tonya, the face behind Tonya Maree Photography, a mum of three little ones and someone who has spent pretty much her entire adult life working with children!
My background is actually in early childhood education, and I’ve been working with little people since I was 19.
In 2015, my husband and I got married and packed up our lives to move to Canada! 🇨🇦 I spent three of those years working as a private nanny for the most beautiful family, who I absolutely adored.
In 2021, we welcomed our first baby, moved back home to Australia a few months later, and somehow two more babies followed! So life these days is pretty busy, a little chaotic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. 😂
Photography has actually been part of my life since 2011! I started out photographing families and newborns, found myself photographing weddings while living in Canada, and eventually found my way back to where it all began, families, babies and all those beautiful little in-between moments.
I think my years working with children, and now being a mum myself, have really shaped the way I photograph families. I know kids aren’t always going to sit still, smile on command or do what we want them to do. And honestly, I don’t expect them to!
I love the chaos, the cuddles, the cheeky personalities and all the little moments that make your family yours.
