A little season of in-between. Still soaking up the days as three, while waiting for the little person who’ll make them four.

The tiny hand holding Mum’s, the cuddles that won’t look quite the same soon, and that beautiful bump that’s already so loved.

Just a little piece of life, exactly as it is right now. šŸ¤āœØ

There’s something about the tiniest details that I’ll never get tired of.
Because before you know it, they’ve changed all over again. šŸ¤šŸ„¹

There’s something extra special about the families who keep coming back. šŸ¤

Getting to photograph these two as they grow, watching their personalities get bigger each time, and seeing the same well-loved teddies come along for the adventure too. 🧸

Cheeky smiles, lots of cuddles, a little bit of chaos and plenty of fun.

Exactly how family photos should feel. 😊

Honestly, is there anything better than a brand new baby curled up in Mum and Dad’s arms? 🄹

No complicated posing, no expectations for baby to sleep the whole time. Just lots of cuddles, little wriggly legs, tiny fingers and new parents very much in that beautiful newborn bubble. šŸ¤

And I think these photos are a pretty good reminder that newborn sessions really can be this simple.

Come as you are, cuddle your baby, and let me capture it all exactly as it is. šŸ’•

Having a message pop up from a familiar face is always the best feeling, and being invited back to capture another chapter for them is just the best. šŸ¤

This time, I was lucky enough to jump in the car, head down to the beach and spend the evening with this beautiful family as they get ready to welcome another little person into their world. 🄹

The fact that this business can come with me sometimes still feels pretty surreal. That I can pack my camera, travel somewhere new and keep documenting the stories of families who have trusted me before.

Repeat families will forever be one of the biggest privileges of this job.

Watching babies become big sisters. Seeing families grow. Getting to photograph a completely new chapter of a story I’ve already been lucky enough to be part of.

This one was cold, windy, a little bit wild and so, so beautiful. 🌊

I’ll never stop being grateful that this is what I get to call work. šŸ¤ šŸ“·

Some people see autism in black and white.

A diagnosis.
A report.
A list of traits.

But we know it in colour. 🌈

We know the colours of headphones packed before every outing.
Of a safe food eaten for the hundredth time.
Of routines that bring peace.
Of plans that change without warning.

We know the colours of waiting rooms.
Of therapy appointments.
Of just sitting on the floor because that’s what’s needed today.
Of advocating when you’re really too tired to keep explaining.
Of wondering whether anyone else can see how hard today really was.

We know what it feels like to hear,

ā€œThey’re doing so well.ā€

…and just smile and nod.

Because they don’t see what it took just to make it through the day.

Unless you’ve lived it, it’s maybe hard to fully understand how home is one of the very few places where the masks can finally come off. Where they can finally exhale and just be themselves.

Some days our house is very loud.
Some days it’s silent.
Some days there are lots of tears.
Some days just suck.

And then…

Someone laughs.
Someone discovers something extraordinary in the ordinary.
Someone reaches for us.

And suddenly…

Life is full of colour again.

We’ve had days that have stretched us to the absolute limit.

They’ve taught us patience.
They’ve taught us that communication isn’t always spoken.
That progress isn’t always visible.
That bravery doesn’t always look brave.

They’ve shown us that two children (and their mum) can all share the same diagnosis, yet experience the world in completely different ways!

Because autism isn’t one story.

It’s millions of stories.

And ours is filled with lots of love, endless advocacy, overwhelming days, glimmers of joy, and tiny victories that feel as big as mountains.

There have been really tough days.
Days we wished life felt just a little bit easier.

But different?

Never.

Because they remind us, every day, that the world was never meant to be seen in black and white.

Through their eyes, we continue to discover colours we never knew existed.

Our little rainbow brains.

And we wouldn’t change a single colour.
