A subtle morning glow filters through the giants in the Redwood forest. Even though I was here pretty early and the only person around, the light was still pretty harsh. Luckily some high cloud diffused the sunlight to create the softer effect.

The tranquil, rain forest hike down to Beauchamp Falls in the Otways certainly tests the ageing knees but when you’re treated with this majestic scene the discomfort melts away quickly. The return journey back up and the thought of the next 2 hours sat in the car on the way home wasn’t such a pleasant thought.

Such a calm and peaceful scene, one winter’s evening at Werribee South. The soft pastel sky and the completely still water combine to produce an image of such tranquility. I actually took this a few years ago but for whatever reason had never got round to processing it.
