Event photography at the Australian Kelpie Muster, capturing the action, the atmosphere, and the incredible bond between handlers and their dogs. From the excitement of the Kelpie Dash to the crowd-favourite High Jump, it was a fantastic day filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of unforgettable moments.

The muster is more than just a competition or auction; it's a celebration of community, country life, and the special bond between working dogs and their handlers. It was a pleasure to be there and document some of the moments that made the day so special. Big thanks to the organisers, volunteers & media for an awesome day & squeezing me in.

Looking as though they were captured in the heart of Melbourne, these images were created after two hours spent wandering along Little Malop Street in Geelong as part of an urban landscape photo workshop with Oxygen College .

Getting some street photography done around Daylesford & Trentham with the 70-200mm for class photo brief. Funny how once you get in the flow, people stop feeling like distractions and start feeling like unsuspecting actors filling the frame. Daylesford Railway

Dropped into the Newport Railway Workshops (built 1889) for the Steamrail Victoria open day. Long before the gates open, volunteers are already firing up and maintaining these heritage locomotives. It’s tiring, dirty work—but their dedication keeps these historic machines alive for generations to come.

Milky Way Sunrise @ Strath Creek
One bonus aspect of doing astrophotography is hanging around until sunrise for those sweet golden hour shots. You do have to be quick at this time of year as the core does not rise until 3am with daylight breaking at 5am.

My first doggo photoshoot with Layla (Border Collie x) & Cruze (Staffordshire Terrier), had my work cut out for me as these 2 were full of beans and shooting on a 50mm prime, had to really zoom with my feet which taught me a lot about depth of field. Cheers again to the lovely owners for the opportunity.
