Gayle and Dini at the perfectly lovely Hinterland Wedding Venue 🧡 We are currently on a family camping trip and the weather is rainy, windy and completely unpredictable. However, the Tweed Coast always looks beautiful no matter the weather. Gayle and Dini’s day was overcast and windy just like this trip, however, weddings here never disappoint. Even with crazy weather, the Tweed Coast always looks amazing… especially with a couple like these two and Hinterland Wedding Venue behind them!

DAY 2 of reminiscing about past couples and wanting to see where they are today!

Today’s sweet sweet pair is Kat and Court, who said “I do” at Kooroomba Weddings & Restaurant and we were lucky enough to capture their loveliness on photo and video.

Out of all the weddings we have captured, we still talk about this one regularly. They were truly obsessed with each other, the lighting was perfect and the day progressed effortlessly. Jerome and I still look at their photos with smiles on our faces and we hope these two ladies do too. Would love to know what you are up to now Katherine Ryan and Courtney Porter!!

One of the loveliest parts of this “job” is hearing from our couples years later. This week we have had a few messages from couples we photographed 10+ years ago, and it is so exciting to hear the updates and see photos of everything that has happened since we saw last saw you. Time really flies… 10 years only feels like 3 or 4! It is actually surreal to think about how much can happen in 10 years! We also love seeing photos of our prints and albums still sitting proudly in your homes after all these years. It kinda feels like we not only photograph weddings, but also get a mini front-row seat to your life afterwards and we are really grateful for this.

I will stop getting emotional and just say… If we’ve photographed your wedding, whether it was last month or 13 years ago, we’d always love to hear from you 🧡🧡🧡 Shoot us a text, send a photo or tell us what you’ve both been up to. CONTENT CREATION!

Ok… we have been brainstorming our latest add-on in the B+B office and would love to know what you all think. We are discussing whether to add CONTENT CREATION as a new wedding extra. All the moments we would normally capture as a photographer/videographer but on an iPhone, vertically filmed and perfectly suited for social media sharing. Imagine having the behind the scenes, the main events, the small events and all the little bits you would normally miss delivered within a day after your wedding day? It occurred to Jerome and I the other day that we are already doing this… just on professional gear… why not on an iPhone too for fast delivery and optimised for social media?

So we are wondering… is this something you would love? Is it something which would be helpful alongside photo/film?

The French House at its finest! Please take us back here… we are dreaming of capturing this dreamy venue on super8!

We have had a huge week in the office this week with mainly proposals between the GC and Byron Bay. We have also booked more and more super8 and camcorder goodness which we can’t wait to share. CAMCORDER COMPILATION!

We are so excited about our new retro camcorders. We only launched them two weeks ago and they’ve already been to 4 weddings!! Safe to say you guys are loving them just as much as we are. 🤍

After years of doing the filming, it is so fun to see the footage taken by your favourite people. Jerome and I have been loving siting in the office putting the hilarious footage together 🤣🧡 The messy moments, your favourite people filming the things they think you’ll love to see, the meaningful messages, the chaos and the bits you’d never normally get to see. It looks nostalgic and feels very real.

We simply hand the camcorders out to your guests and let them do their thing. No rules, no pressure. Even kids can play with them! Just a whole lot of behind the scenes memories that feel like you’re right back there again.

You can add camcorder hire to any of our photography or videography packages, pair it with Super 8, or book it on its own… and please do because its added such an amazing new feel to our weddings and films.

Hand our camcorders over to your bridal party and guests and let them capture your wedding day from their perspective. Think behind the scenes moments, messy dance floor footage, happy tears, late night laughs and all the little memories your photographer and videographer might not see. It is raw, real and full of epic personality.

🎞️ Super 8 Film
If you love timeless, nostalgic films, you are going to fall in love with Super 8. We include 3.5 minutes of beautiful film footage, captured throughout your day with all the dreamy grain, soft movement and vintage feel that only real film can create. Jerome is really pumped about this.

Both options can be booked on their own or combined together. They can also be seamlessly incorporated into your digital highlight film or delivered as standalone keepsakes. We are absolutely obsessed with the emotion and nostalgia these bring and cannot wait to start using these new goodies.
