UNSW PhotoClub is the hub for photographers from UNSW to develop and hone their skills, providing both an environment for discussion and the exchange of ideas. Goals and Aims:
- Promote photography as a hobby
- Provide a learning and sharing base for budding photographers
- Provide avenues to members who want to develop their interests in photography

T2W9 | Maroubra Photo Walk!

Ready for our final event of the term? Join us for a stunning coastal photo walk as we explore the rugged beauty of Maroubra and Malabar Headland National Park! Meet at Maroubra Beach (Arthur Byrne Reserve), we’ll start by capturing the ocean waves, rock formations, and the iconic Mahon Pool nearby.

From there, we’ll hit the Boora Point Walking Track, winding along dramatic sandstone cliffs with sweeping ocean panoramas, the perfect backdrop for landscape photography. Keep your telephoto lenses ready: this clifftop stretch is a prime spot for wildlife, and if we’re lucky, we might even spot migrating whales breaching along the coast!

We’ll wind up our walk heading towards the tranquil waters of Malabar Beach before looping back. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or just starting out, this event is perfect for meeting fellow photography enthusiasts, practicing your skills, and enjoying Sydney’s sights.

Important notes
- This event consists of a lot of walking. Please stay hydrated throughout the day.
- To get the meeting location, take the 396 bus either from the city or from Anzac Parade

- Comfortable pair of walking shoes
- Sunscreen
- Water
- Snacks

📸 🌷 WOMEN BEHIND THE CAMERA: A safe and supportive space for women to explore photography 🌷📸

Calling all the girls 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️ photographers and anyone curious about picking up a camera alike! Join .unsw x UNSW PhotoSoc for an afternoon of exploring Sydney through the lens while connecting with a community of women who love creativity and photography.

We’ll wander from the Sydney CBD to the Botanic Gardens, stopping at some of Sydney’s most iconic locations for portraits, street photography, landscapes and everything in between. Expect plenty of photo opportunities with fellow women behind the camera 📷✨

This two-hour hangout event is a relaxed space on campus where members can snap photos, and chat with other photographers while hopefully learning something along the way too!

Join us on our annual photography walk to the wonderful Watsons Bay! 📸After a scenic ferry ride across Sydney Harbour, we’ll capture ocean views from The Gap Lookout, then head to Greenpoint Reserve, home to the historic First Landing Obelisk.

From there, we’ll stroll along Camp Cove Beach toward the Lightkeeper’s Cottages, ending at the newly restored Hornby Lighthouse — with its iconic red and white stripes — just in time for sunset. Weave through heritage cottages and soak in spectacular coastal views — perfect for some unforgettable photos!

You will also have the chance to see Vivid when returning to Circular Quay so enjoy this once a year opportunity to see the lights of Sydney!
