Hiking Series | Chapter 11: Cliffside Views
📍 The Balconies & Wedding Cake Rock Trail, Royal National Park, NSW Australia

This scenic 7 km return hike starts near the gate at the end of Beachcomber Avenue and follows the trail towards The Balconies before continuing in the direction of Wedding Cake Rock.

Surrounded by rugged sandstone cliffs, native bushland, and endless ocean views, every section of this track offers something different to enjoy. From dramatic cliff edges to the sound of waves crashing below, it is one of those walks that reminds you to slow down and enjoy the journey.

The Royal Coast Track never disappoints.

City Vibe Series | Chapter 19: Whispers of Old Sydney
📍 Lot 51 Bar & Lounge, ibis Sydney Barangaroo, NSW, Australia

Hidden inside the modern skyline of Barangaroo, Lot 51 reveals a quieter side of Sydney shaped by history, harbour culture, and old dockside stories.

Long before Barangaroo became a modern waterfront precinct, this area formed part of Sydney’s industrial wharf district and the historic “Hungry Mile,” where generations of dock workers once searched for work along the harbour during the early 1900s. The spirit of that old Sydney still feels present through the dark interiors, vintage textures, warm amber lighting, and industrial inspired atmosphere inside Lot 51.

The space feels less like a modern hotel lounge and more like stepping into a forgotten corner of the city where old harbour stories still linger between shadows, artwork, and quiet lounge corners.

One of those hidden places where history, design, and city nightlife all meet in the same frame.

Some trails make you feel tiny beside nature, and this was definitely one of them.

Walking beneath these massive sandstone cliffs with the quiet bush around us honestly felt surreal. Every corner of the track had something different, from hidden pathways and rocky overhangs to those wide Blue Mountains views that never look real in photos.

One of those hikes where you slow down without even realising it. 🍃
