Mudhoney have been one of my fave bands for as long as I can remember; I never miss a chance to see and photograph them whenever they tour Australia.

They're yet to disappoint me live; with that sound, the songs, the performance - it's hard to go wrong. This show at the Factory Theatre in Sydney last week was no exception 🤘🔥🤘

Their Oz dates are done but they still have two shows left to go in New Zealand, where they're touring for the first time in over a decade.

Following a 10-year hiatus, The Drones reformed for a one-off tour of Australia across August - October this year. I photographed their rescheduled third show at the Factory Theatre on Oct 2, supported by Mess Hall🤘🎉🤘

Time for a Friday flashback, to 2013, and the first time I ever saw and photographed King Giz live.

That year, on January 25, they played The Nuggets Antipodean Interpolations showcase at Sydney Town Hall as part of the Sydney Festival, alongside The Laurels, Straight Arrows, The Murlocs, The Gooch Palms, Step-Panther and Bloods. Their version of Open My Eyes by Nazz features on the Antipodean Interpolations Of The First Psychedelic Era compilation 🤘🔥🤘

Since then, they've released a zillion records and played a gazillion gigs around the world 🤯 Next month they'll be playing NSW, Australia, on a Rock 'n' Roll 'n' Rave Roadshow. 3 shows, in 2 styles, over 2 days, across Thirroul and Sydney, through Love Police

As a long time fan, it was a privilege to get to photograph and video 🦇 The Damned 🦇 at the Sydney Opera House recently on their Final Damnation 50th Anniversary tour.

Covering it for their management meant that I was able to shoot the entire set, with stage access; getting to have a chat with the very affable Captain Sensible at soundcheck was an absolute bonus 🎉

This was the second time I'd seen Richie W**d and Ben Nightingale. The duo format works really well for these songs - largely drawn from Richie's solo album, Strays - and lends itself to the very intimate setting that is Frank's Wild Years in Thirroul.

I was experimenting (for the first time) with some recently purchased Lensbaby lenses - which made for some interesting results - along with multiple exposures.

The Neptune Power Federation are blasting through Europe right now, unleashing Mondo Tomorrow on unsuspecting Euros - but before they crossed a dozen time zones, Loud Online was there at Crowbar Sydney to witness The Imperial Priestess and her netherworldy reprobates absolutely destroy the place, as well as what was, tragically, CruciFox's final Australian show with the band 😢

Was it really December 2014 when The Datsuns last played in Sydney?! Their long awaited return was warmly met by a crowd keen-as-faark to finally see them again (or to get to see them for the first time) at Crowbar Sydney

Featuring original members vocalist/bassist Dolf de Burst (also the bassplayer for The Hellacopters since 2018), guitarists Christian Livingstone and Phil Somervell, plus drummer Adam Lindmark (Dead Lord, Harrowed) from Stockholm, they were in flawless form. Hopefully they return to Australia a little sooner next time🤘🤞🔥🤘
