Maja & Ante - EVERYONE. Loves. These. Two. Including me.

This is post 1 of 2 and this one is focused on the tears. All day people would walk up to Maja or Ante and just start crying with happiness for them. I thought a lot about why we all felt so much love for them and I think it’s because they are two people who give 10,000% of their love to everyone, all the time. You can’t help but feel happy when they’re around ❤️‍🔥.

Happy New Year beautiful people!

It’s the first post of 2026 and I want to use it to celebrate some of the small moments that come along with the big moments at a wedding.

3 small moments of celebration at Courtney & Jake’s wedding:

- Courtney’s aunty and uncle getting a phone call to tell them they had officially become grandparents right after the ceremony.

- Jake’s brother talking about how proud their Dad would have been of Jake.

- Courtney taking a moment to laugh and be silly with her Dad on this big meaningful day.

Weddings are about celebrating all the love all around you and I love to see it.

Staying present can be tricky on your wedding day, especially during big moments like your ceremony.

Here are 3 things that can help you focus on enjoying one of the most beautiful parts of your day:

1. Hire a wedding planner/coordinator. These legends take on all the logistical problems for you so you don’t have to come up with solutions when you’re trying to focus on celebrating.
2. In the lead up to your wedding, spend some time learning about yourself. What makes you feel calm when things are chaotic? Maybe it’s slow breathing, maybe it’s talking to your best friend, maybe it’s just having a glass of wine (no judgement here).
3. Do a first look. Your ceremony is a huge moment. It can really help calm the nerves if you’ve seen your person and had a minute to feel connected before having this big, beautiful experience together (that’s what worked for me anyway).

Emma & Sam surprised everyone at their wedding with something they put so much love into. They wrote personal letters to every single guest there and had the letters waiting at the guests seats. How special is that ❤️‍🔥

Ok y’all, let’s get reeeeeal.

I love a beautifully composed portrait of a wedding couple as much as they next guy but to me, it’s just a small part of a day we create to celebrate the love we’ve got all around us.

All the little meaningful moments, the big laughs, the hidden tears - that’s really what weddings are all about. Those moments are the stories we tell, the moments we can’t plan, the moments that make us smile years into the future.

Weddings are about the love between you two AND between you and your family, your friends and your other friends, your fiancé and his brother, your fiancé and her niece, and on it goes. It’s a day of a million little celebrations.

Being chosen by a wedding industry professional to shoot their wedding is something really special to me. Gabriella knows a loooot of photographers and has seen everyone’s work so I feel very grateful that I got to be part of her and Peter’s day.
