🐷 Meet Oink Oink. More than just meat. ❤️

We thought Oink Oink deserved his very own photoshoot!

Pigs are so often seen as nothing more than food or labelled as dirty animals. But did you know they are incredibly intelligent, with abilities that can rival those of dogs? 🧠

And despite their reputation, pigs are naturally very clean animals! They simply love mud to keep cool and protect their skin.

They are curious, affectionate, playful and full of personality.

Through the Animalia Project, I hope to change the way we see these often-overlooked animals.

Because they deserve to be seen for who they are, not just what they can give us.

Behind every photograph is an animal with their own personality, their own story, and a little piece of my heart.

From the tiniest creatures to the biggest personalities, I’ve spent years doing what I love most: capturing the beauty, character and connection that make every animal so special.

17 years behind the camera, and I still get just as excited about every single animal I meet.

Let’s be honest, you’re not here for my face, you’re here for the animals! But just this once, you’re getting both. So here’s a little reintroduction.

I’m Jennifer, the photographer behind Concept Photography and the Animalia Project. French-born, Belgian, and Australia has been home for the past 12 years. 🇫🇷🇧🇪🇦🇺

Animals are probably 90% of my personality 😂 but my family and friends are also such an important part of my world.

Through Concept Photography, I get to tell the stories of people and their best friends, capturing that incredible connection and transforming it into meaningful art that will stay with them forever.

Then there is the Animalia Project, my fine art project created to advocate for animals, raise awareness and shine a light on the incredible species we sometimes overlook. Giving animals a voice through my photography is something I’m incredibly passionate about.

And right now, I’m also working on my newest adventure with the amazing thesoulbarn and their super-duper-cool Highland cows, A project we’ve been working on together for months and one I’m SO excited about!

When I’m not behind the camera or surrounded by animals, you’ll usually find me gardening, planning another home reno, enjoying good food or spending time with my family and friends.

Some animals are admired for their beauty. Others are simply seen for what they provide us.

The cow is one of them.

So often seen as livestock, as food, as a number in a paddock. But look closer and there is so much more. Gentle eyes, quiet strength, individuality and an incredible presence.

Animalia is about looking beyond an animal’s purpose and seeing the individual in front of us.

Animals are living art.

Meet Coquine, our little Frizzle and one of the beautiful characters of the Animalia Project.

She may be small, but there is something almost regal about her. Those incredible curled feathers, that intense little stare, and a personality much bigger than her size.

Animalia is about giving every animal a place in front of the camera, not only the rare, exotic or traditionally beautiful ones. The animals we see every day deserve to be looked at differently too.

Because sometimes, a little chicken can be a work of art.

There are so many incredible animals in this world, yet some are too often overlooked simply because of the species they belong to.

Animalia is my way of advocating for those animals and challenging the way we see them.

Behind every feather, every horn and every pair of eyes is a soul, a unique personality and a story worth telling.

Because every animal deserves to be seen, respected and valued.

There is something so special about seeing my art displayed in one of my favourite places.

It might be a coffee shop, but to me, it is so much more than that. It is one of those magical little places where I instantly feel calm, where I can slow down, breathe and feel inspired.

Having my photographs become a little part of this beautiful space feels very special.

We are absolutely heartbroken to share that we have lost our very special little chicken, Capucine.

To some people she was “just a chicken,” but to us she was so much more. She was a big part of our family and especially of my daughter’s life.

Capucine came to us after being given to us, so we never knew her true age. She had health challenges. She was blind after being attacked by other chickens and needed a lot of extra care, but we did everything we could to give her the happiest life possible. We even built her a little pink house on our balcony where she felt safe, loved and happy.

We don’t know what happened, and not having those answers makes this even harder.

A little while ago, we created this piece of artwork with Capucine as part of the Animalia Project. It wasn’t just about creating a beautiful portrait. It was about raising awareness and inspiring people to see chickens, poultry and all livestock differently. Every one of them is an individual with their own personality, and every one of them deserves kindness and respect.

We hope her portrait will continue to remind people to be grateful, to think about where their food comes from, and to remember that these animals are so much more than what many people see them as.

Thank you, our beautiful little girl, for everything you gave us. You were deeply loved, and you will be missed more than words can ever say.
