The insane beauty of a 3.45am wake-up call. At 4.30am we had passengers ashore at Cape Hallet, Antarctica. Stunning conditions and jaw-dropping scenery, shared with thousands upon thousands of Adélie penguins. This is one of the differences between an ‘expedition’ and a ‘cruise’. If the ice is clear and we have a weather window - we go. And we go where very few have been.
