I'm so excited to be able to share a project that’s been underway for months, a family portrait collaboration with the wonderful Leeli, inspired by . My opshop life has been dedicated to collecting the very best fake flowers (and a few hundred dollar trips to Spotlight) and it’s so wonderful to finally be able to make a wall out of them.
The props I have used here are mostly opshop or nature finds, and all mean something to me, particularly the large pinecones Manuel and I found in a beautiful forest of pine trees in QLD, when Indie was still in my belly. As a treasure hunter since birth, it’s magnificent to bring all my treasures into one photo, to keep long after the items disappear.
I chose these particular shots of us all to merge into one photo, as Manuel is happy, cheeky, and always wanted to follow his heart with music, I’m trying to look glamorous as per usual, Indie is being her usual animated self, and Jasper is my special fluffy boy (Marley and Sassy would have look terrified so they stayed out of this one).
By chance Leeli and I had the same vision for this shoot, which meant we could both utilise this rainbow backdrop for our family photos!
I shall be keeping the backdrop up for a few months, so hopefully do some other family portraits in front of it, here in Sassafras (email if you’re interested- [email protected]).

Hiya lovely folk that I may or may not have worked with yet. I have realised I have been photographing for 18 years now and I have really dropped the ball with advertising myself, always feels weird to me.
