Wedding number 200 is in the books🤍

Thank you Brieanna & Kyle!! The always amazing Marry Me Mindy | Port Macquarie Marriage Celebrant/MC/Coordintor was at the helm, wonderful Daisy Moroney on makeup at FREELANCE HAIRSTYLIST - JORJA CURNOE❤️‍🔥 on hair (& sister of the brief duties!) and the venue was the stunning The Lodge Bellingen 🥂 with the awesome Jimmy Pose It Photo Booths too!

Driving home on Saturday, I found myself thinking about all the couples that led to this one. Every wedding has taught me something.. about light, about timing, but mostly about people. About how love looks different on everyone, and how my job isn’t to pose it… it’s to notice it.
To Brie & Kyle, thank you for making my milestone part of your beautiful day. You two were everything.
And to everyone who has followed along, referred a friend, or trusted me with your own day…this little business exists because of you. Here’s to the next 200 🥂💛

What a day for my 200th wedding 😍💛

Tomorrow, I photograph my 200th wedding.

Two hundred. I keep saying it out loud and it still doesn’t feel real.

Here’s a look back at one of the first, just over 4 years ago.. Stephanie & Billy’s day at Little Fish Vineyard with the wonderful Margo Smith

I think about those first few weddings often - how nervous I was, triple-checking my batteries, praying I wouldn’t miss a moment. Tomorrow I’ll still triple-check my batteries (some things never change), but everything else has grown into something I couldn’t have imagined back then.

Two hundred couples have trusted me with a day they can never do over. Two hundred first kisses as a married couple, two hundred shaky-handed ring exchanges, two hundred vows. And honestly? The unscripted moments in between are still my favourite thing to photograph.

To every couple who has let me stand quietly beside them on their biggest day, thank you. You’re the reason I get to do this!

Wedding #200, see you tomorrow. I might bring tissues for myself this time 💛

I’ve been asked this since day one of my business: “So what’s your niche?”

Seven years later, my answer is still the same: I don’t have one. At least not the kind you’re thinking of.

I’m not “the wedding photographer” or “the branding photographer.” I’ve never picked a genre and stuck to it.

My niche is realness. It’s the way I make people feel, not the type of session on the calendar.

Whether it’s a couple getting married, a family that hasn’t quite figured out where to put their hands, or a woman in business who’s never felt “photogenic”… my job doesn’t change. I’m not directing a performance. I’m watching for the moment someone stops posing and just is.

That’s the thread running through every single session, no matter the category.

Seven years in, that’s still the whole niche: real people, captured as themselves 💛
