Could have made a fancy graphic… but honestly, words are my love language (how ironic!) and I had too much editing to finish to justify the time.
What a year it’s been though - a challenging one as I tried to keep up with the growth in both MWC & Country Made Creative, two kids, a life, and a renovation 🫣🫠
Some 2025 stats (some factual, some estimated 😆):
📷 Total MWC shoots: 158 (including 121 mini sessions)
💖 Amount donated locally through fundraisers: $5954
😵💫 Days of business interrupted by kids or trades: 206
😅 Times I said “thank you for your patience”: 102 (probably an underestimate)
💌 Emails replied to in my head: 137
📱 Days I promised to post on social but didn’t: 179
✨ Number of times I thanked my lucky stars to call this a job: the limit does not exist.
I am beyond grateful for all your support this year. Without you, I wouldn’t be here calling this a real job. Can’t believe I’m still at it nearly 11 years later!
I also want to shout out thanks to my family - these three boys in particular. It's not easy being the child or partner of someone who's self-employed. We don't switch off and sometimes our presence is questionable (even when we're around), but everything I do in this business is ultimately for our family - flexibility, income, and a happy, fulfilled mum doing what she loves.
I'm also incredibly grateful to my parents for everything that they do - the last few months especially their support has been necessary and so very appreciated.
I can’t wait for all the good things coming in 2026… but first, it's holiday time for our little fam! I’ll be switching off until Monday 5th January, after which I'll be straight back into things with shoots but will be working at a reduced capacity with editing/admin until the end of school holidays.
