Growing up in the South-West region of Western Australia I was immersed in natural adventures on a regular basis. Whether it was getting up early for a surf mission, hiking the local hills, rock climbing in amazing locations, or finding new places to ride my mountain bike, the outdoors and exploration have always been a major part of my life. When I started photography over 10 years ago I was natu

rally drawn to the Australian landscape. Combining these amazing locations with the brands that enable adventures was a logical choice, as these are what make great stories. And stories are what my photography is all about.

Want a simple way to improve your sports photos?

Get LOW!

The first three pictures here were taken with me sitting on the ground, the camera maybe half a metre above the ground.

The second three I was lying on my stomach while shooting.

The difference?

The perspective changes, making the players seem more imposing and powerful, and the action just that much closer.

Try it next time you're shooting from the sidelines, even with your phone. Getting low is the simplest and quickest way to elevate your sports photos.
