ALBANY — Little Beach

I once spent a lot of time exploring the incredible coastline around Albany, and Little Beach has always been one of my favourites.

This shot was taken back in 2014 on a little Fuji X100. Hard to believe it’s been that long!

SUPERPIT 2013

Hard to believe this was 13 years ago, I shot this back in 2013, and looking at these machines, they look so small — but in reality, they’re absolutely massive.

This gives you just a glimpse of the sheer scale of the Kalgoorlie Super Pit. And the crazy part? This is only a small section of the entire pit! 🤯

Some landscapes stay with you long after you've driven past them. These salt lakes are one of those places.

Karijini remains my favourite place and some of my best images have definitely been captured there.
Also nearly died that one time, but we won’t talk about that as it upsets the wife.
Just between you, me and the fence post - I will keep returning as it keeps surprising me with so many opportunities.
This image is from quite a while ago, when the sunlight hit just at the right time, and I love how the colours constantly change

I've scrolled past this photo so many times. I remember taking it and thinking there wasn't anything particularly remarkable about the scene. But there was something I couldn't quite put into words.
Looking back, I realise it wasn't just about what I saw—it was about how it felt. It had rained earlier that morning, and everything seemed richer. The colours were deeper, the air was completely still, water droplets fell gently from the leaves, and the sound of corellas passing overhead was the only thing breaking the silence. It was peaceful.
When I finally sat down to edit this image, that feeling came rushing back. I think that's what makes this photograph special to me. Sometimes a photo isn't just about capturing a place—it's about a moment or a feeling.

I love finding old images I have forgotten about, I miss the Kimberley and these amazing trees.

I came across this place while hiking around the Pilbara, the quartz made it look like it was covered in snow.

When I start feeling a bit stuck with my photography, I like to experiment. This concept has been bouncing around in my mind for a while, and it’s incredibly satisfying when it finally works. I could have edited out all the dust particles, but I actually like how they catch the light, add a little extra detail and encourage your eye to wander around the image. I’d love to hear what you think. 🙂
