Our baby girl has arrived. While this is great news she still needs time to recover. She is receiving all the best treatment in intensive care. We are praying and have much hope for her little soul. 🩷

No pretence. Just open country, fresh air, and two people who belong together. Simon & Penny didn’t need much direction here, the land did most of the work.

This is why I love shooting out this way.

Jimmy Choos on a wedding day.

I don’t know much about shoes. But I know the details matter, not because they make the photo, but because twenty years from now they’ll make you remember. The ones you chose deliberately, wore once, and never forgot.

Mayfield Vineyard does something to a photograph.
There’s a formality to it that doesn’t feel forced. L & C’s bridal party settled right into it, and this is what happened when I asked everyone to just sit and be together for a moment.

Some of my favourite group shots come from the simplest directions.

I’m Angus,
Wedding photographer, Based in Orange NSW, Shooting Australia wide.

Ten years in, and what still gets me is the stuff nobody planned for. The look between a couple that lasts half a second. The way a father holds it together until he doesn’t. That’s what I’m there for.

I work with couples who want to feel at ease on their wedding day, not perform through it. If you’re after honest photography that’ll mean more with every passing year, you’re in the right place.

This is Laura. About two minutes before her bridesmaids saw her for the first time.
I guided her to the window. What happened next was all her.

That stillness, that quiet, that’s not something you can manufacture. You just have to be paying attention when it arrives.

This isn’t the couple getting married.

These are the hands that held her first. That dried her tears, steadied her steps, and quietly let go, so she could walk toward the rest of her life.

I didn’t plan this shot. I just noticed her parents reach for each other as during the ceremony. Two people watching their daughter become a wife, holding on to each other the same way they always have.

That’s the village. And that’s why I never stop shooting when the couple isn’t looking.

There’s something about getting married on land that belongs to someone you love.

Simon & Penny chose a private property just outside Dubbo, and the whole day felt like it. Grounded. Personal. Completely theirs.

This was the moment they made it official. Right there in front of everyone who matters most.

A watch on a wedding day means more than just keeping time.

It’s a reminder that this day, this specific day, is moving whether you’re present for it or not.
Seb wore his well. And he didn’t waste a second of it.
Part of my job is making sure you don’t either. The less you think about the camera, the more of your day you actually get to keep.

There’s a difference between photos you like now and photos you’ll love in 20 years.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, especially with my own family growing.
The photos that stop you cold twenty years from now won’t be the ones where everything looked perfect. They’ll be the ones where someone is mid-laugh, or holding a hand, or just looking at the person they love like nobody else is in the room.
You can’t pose that. You can only be present enough to let it happen.

That’s why I do this the way I do. To make you feel something. Now & twenty years from now.
