Finally got around to my first sunrise shoot for 2026 this morning down at Lake Weyba. As you can see it was picture perfect!

I'm sure you're sick of moon images in your feed but here's a couple more taken from my backyard last night. Had a heap of cloud move in during the peak however I managed some images before and shortly after using the 200-800mm lens.

Archive Image- (November 2018) Great Ocean Road, Vic

A stunning spring morning at the Gibson Steps. Although not the main focal point, I love the barreling left handed wave throwing some serious spray in the background.

Archive Image (May 2019) Armidale, NSW

This was one of those, quickly pull over and shoot the light scenarios. After a very overcast and dull day travelling through the Northern Tablelands, the sun burst through in the late afternoon to light up this very Australian scene of a farm shed and Gumtree.

Archive Image- (September 2022) Lake Wanaka, NZ

During my 3rd trip to New Zealand, my wife and I decided to make the effort to do the very popular Roys Peak hike at Lake Wanaka at Sunrise. A 4am start, got us to the lookout spot just as the colours started to pop!

Archive Image- (April 2018) Lamington National Park, QLD

After some heavy rain I decided to head down to the Lamington National Park to check out the amazing waterfalls found throughout the area. This one is Chalahn Falls found on the Tooloona Creek track. Be warned, the leeches are relentless if you are thinking about checking it out during the warmer months.

Archive Image- (September 2021) Cradle Mountain, Tasmania

Spent a good 30 minutes waiting to capture this Wombat Joey at the Ronny Creek boardwalk at Cradle Mountain. The youngster was glued to mums side until it eventually decided to take a peak at what was going on around it.

*New Image- Southern Lights Jan 20th Noosa Hinterland*

If you hadn't seen already, the Australis Borealis made another appearance to QLD overnight. I headed into the Noosa hinterland around 9.30pm and managed to capture the red glow and purple pillars just before the clouds set in.
