A series of shots captured on the Sony | Alpha AU & NZ and the 70-200 GM during an absolute burner of a sunrise.

Lately, it feels like I’ve only been picking up the camera for work. And while I genuinely enjoy that, this morning felt different.

No client. Just a sunrise photo walk, chasing light, slowing down, and taking photos simply because I love photography.

It reminded me why I started in the first place.

Landscape photography has always been about more than the final image for me. It’s the early mornings, the quiet moments, and the feeling of watching the world wake up.

And honestly, it felt great to be back.

What a blessing it is being asked to shoot the most important day in someone’s life. My wedding day went by in a flash, and I still remember getting our wedding photos back and being delighted with the memories that were captured. It’s such a blessing being able to do the same for someone else.

Surrounded by warm smiles and friendly family and friends, this was the connection between Bowen and Michaela 🧡

Wedding prep morning with one of my couples today.

We walked the venue, talked through the timeline and planned a few photo spots.

The more prep we do before the wedding day, the more relaxed everything feels when the day arrives.
