If life feels too busy to book family photos, holidays are a pretty good time to do it 👏

I met Kristen and her fam bam while they were staying in Byron for the weekend and we spent a morning soaking up the sunshine!!

Everything just slows down a bit when you’re away, there is no routine, nowhere to be, and (somewhat) less responsibilities!

You’re already making the memories. Swimming until your fingers wrinkle, eating your way through a new town, staying up later than usual and forgetting what day it is. Might as well come home with a few photos too 😉

Little broken arm update!

I was supposed to be surfing in the Phillipines next week, but after breaking my elbow a couple of months ago, it looks like I’ll be spending a bit more time reading and relaxing 🍸🙈

People love to tell you what makes a photo timeless. Perfect light, matching outfits, everyone looking exactly where they should.

I’ve never shot that way.

Sure, I’ve got a list of prompts tucked in my back pocket, but I rarely meet small children who actually listen to them 😂

Kids wander. Hair blows across faces. Someone’s always three steps out of frame. It’s the opposite of controlled, and that’s exactly the point.

Because one day, it won’t be the perfectly posed photograph that takes you back. It’ll be the one that reminds you exactly how that season felt 🌞
