* It was important to create mood for this shot, as the product hero shots had already provided perfect clarity and crispness. This shot was aspirational in intention, so crafting light that looks as though it was coming in through venetian blinds, gave it the mood that we wanted.
Very on-brand. 🎯

Pack shot for a men's skincare product. Two blessings with this job:

1) The client knew what she didn't want (a 'poofy-looking' suite of images, like every other skincare range out there that doesn't speak to men). HEY - her words, not mine! 🙃

2) While she knew what she DIDN'T want, she also wasn't sure what she DID want. And openly stated that she trusts my judgement based on past work and to just 'Go for it'.

And THAT dynamic is almost always how the best work gets done. 😎 🎯 📸

I suggested this 'exploded view' shot to my client, to solve two issues:

1) Endless calls & emails asking how their hardware kits screw together. This was placing a big time strain on them via endless interruptions.

2) Translating assembly instructions into multiple languages was both costly and time-consuming. Now their products ship with just one shot on an A4 sheet of paper. Zero ongoing time, costs or questions.

It pays to work with a Photographer who listens beyond the brief.
Some of us do a lot more than 'make things look purdy'. 🎯 🤜🏼🤛🏻 📸

SHOES. They're an important bit of kit, so it's important to ensure that the materials, stitching and form is all very clear. For an angle like this, I shot from higher up than typical, so shoppers can see enough of the FAR side of the boot, to confirm that this has zip side-entry.
Multiple angles are key to multiplying sales, for this reason. 🤔 🎯 📸

This interesting treatment suggested for a client who fabricates a range of planter boxes, was to go with an art direction that made his product shots look more like art gallery pieces. 👌🏻
This helped to resonate with a more affluent audience and to justify a higher price point.
