After 22yrs of having the best seat in the house, the time has come for me to hang up the camera.
It’s a decision I’ve been struggling with for the last 3-4 seasons, but im now comfortable with the decision.
What started as a bit of a side project in 2004 became a journey that gave me countless memories, experiences and friendships that continue to this day.
Weather it was being allowed to stand on the infield to capture the on track action or wandering in the pits to capture the celebrations, the disappointments, the damaged cars or the quiet moments was a privilege I never once took for granted.
Thank you to all the tracks and promotors around Australia that trusted me with access to their tracks, I really appreciated working with you all. o
To the many drivers, teams, crews and families I have had the privilege of working with, thank you. Whether it was capturing a victory, a championship, a tough night at the track or simply a special moment in the pits, it has been an honour to help tell your story through my photos.
To all the editors and publishers of the magazines and newspapers I worked with, thank you, it was so cool to see my photos actually printed in a magazine.
To everyone who shared a photo, purchased an image, credited my work, stopped for a chat at the track or simply told me they enjoyed seeing my photos—thank you. Those little things meant more than you probably realised.
For now, its time to sit on the hill, enjoy a cool drink and watch some racing.
Its been a hell of a ride.
