Very happy to help out at the 50 Lapper. Can’t wait for this!
PICKOS PHOTOS NAMED POLE SHUFFLE SPONSOR FOR $20,000-TO-WIN AUSTRALASIAN 50 LAPPER!
SA Speedcars is proud to announce longstanding Speedcar supporter Stephen Pickering of Pickos Photos as the official sponsor of the Pole Shuffle for the upcoming $20,000-to-win Australasian 50 Lapper at Murray Bridge Speedway on April 5th!
A familiar and respected name in South Australian speedway, Pickos Photos has long been part of the fabric of Speedcar racing, capturing the intensity and action that make the sport so special. Through his lens, 'Picko' has documented countless moments at the track and helped preserve the stories of competitors, teams, and fans across the speedway community.
The upcoming Pickos Photos Pole Shuffle is set to be one of the key highlights of the Australasian Championship adding even more excitement to one of the most historic and prestigious events on the Speedcar calendar, as it determines the top eight starring positions for the 50 Lap feature. Having Pickos Photos attached to this feature is a fitting partnership, recognising both Stephen's ongoing support of the division and his passion for showcasing the sport at its very best.
Since the Australasian Speedcar Championship was first won by Arthur Wylie at Victoria's Olympic Park Speedway on 6 April 1940, the event has built a rich legacy across Australia and New Zealand. Over the decades, some of the sport's toughest competitors have etched their names into its history, including Ross Goonan, Stud Beasley, Harry Neale, George Tatnell, Frank Brewer, Ron Mackay, Roly Crowther, Don Meacham, Trevor Morris, Merle Bettenhausen, and Bob Morgan, plus our more recent victors Kiwi Kaleb Currie, West Aussie Tom Payet, and reigning Australian Speedcar Champion Kaidon Brown.
This year's Australasian 50 Lapper continues that proud tradition, and we thank Stephen Pickering for his continued commitment to Speedcar racing. We look forward to seeing the Pole Shuffle add another memorable chapter to Australasian history, along with Picko's event gallery!
