🥹✨🧚 hi if you’re new here, my name is Maria and one thing you should know about me is that I think I’m a little too committed to romanticising my life.
i like making ordinary things feel like something.
like… I will absolutely make a whole event out of getting a coffee.
I could sit in the sun & float in the ocean for an unreasonable amount of time.
I absolutely believe my kitchen is for dancing.
I read when I’m happy. I read when I’m sad. I usually feel happier after.
I take photos whenever I’m genuinely happy, so I can remember that moment and that feeling 🎞️✨
and I think there’s something really beautiful about deciding that your life is worth documenting while you’re still living it.
not because every day is exciting (most days really aren’t, i’m a simple girl)… but because there are tiny things happening all the time that I don’t want to forget.
and I think this is probably why I love photographing weddings so much too 💌🥹
because a wedding day is full of the big moments: the walk down the aisle, the first kiss, the first dance...
BUT some of my favourite photos are usually the things happening in between 🫶
the things you might not think to capture… until years later when you realise those were the moments you really wanted to remember.
Maybe that’s why I’m so sentimental about documenting my own life too…
I don’t want to wait for something big enough to be worth remembering.
I want to remember the little things 🤍
