A moment in the bush I won’t forget! These birds don’t shout for attention, they blend into the landscape and move like lightning ⚡️

To finally see one, frame it, and bring it home through the lens… that’s the kind of reward you can’t plan for.

The watchful eye of the Sacred Kingfisher!

For the first time I captured an Australian King Parrot in the wild. This beautiful female King Parrot was glowing in that perfect early morning light as it leaned down to drink from the river’s edge. Not to mention it was probably one of the most friendliest bird encounters I’ve had in half a decade. Landed on a tree not even a meter away from my face and looked at me for a few seconds then flew past me within arms length and went down to drink. I didn’t even bother lifting my camera to get the shot because sometimes we need to stop and do what’s more important. Appreciate 😎

Always grateful for mornings like this and the chance to freeze them forever 📸🦜✨

I’ve chased this little rocket for a while, and seeing that flash of electric blue skimming the water was unreal. Such a tiny bird with so much character.
