If you’ve been here a while you know how much I love an epic sky…. If you’re new here welcome! I lovvvveeee a big sky, epic sunset, storm clouds, all the clouds!! On my wedding day I prayed to the weather gods just give me some wind and cool clouds. And what it whoever was listening. Woooo I have been obsessed with weather and weddings for a long time. I believe it creates a core memory for your day. You always remember th weather. Soooo many weather stories start with “the wedding was lovely such a sunny day” “gorgeous wedding but was rather chilly, or windy, or it rained” so I make it my mission to make sure the weather is also featured in your wedding story. It is you, your partner, weather and photographer. Those are the elements that dominate your day haha

I’m in the process of writing a massive weather blog, it’s funny insightful and full of tips and tricks and how to deal with it.

The winter light is getting lower, it makes colours pop and everything feels crisp.
People squeeze closer together, and are more snuggly.
I love that it also brings some quieter moments around the city, room to roam the quiet streets and not bump into too many people. Winter lends a charm when it comes to documentary photography, it can create some beautiful stories and having time to let those stories unfold.

Quiet, intentional, modern love stories.

I just love M&S day! We walked everywhere, we danced everywhere, they giggled and cuddled was so beautiful.

I didn’t know whether to make this post but, the past few weeks I have struggled! The noise of AI all around me has driven me up the wall. Have I used it….. yes, I had no idea at the time it impact it has. Have I stopped using it …..YES! I’ve made this purely to be upfront and a pledge. I will not use AI in my work, I will not create a false representation of your day. I will edit and capture your wedding with heart and soul.

I’m also an artist that produces mixed media work digitally and by hand with painting and drawing. I’ve had to go back and film myself creating my new exhibition so that people don’t say “oh it’s AI”

We don’t know enough about it to use it so haphazardly. The water it consumes is shocking. But I’m not here to preach, just to say to all my couples and I still try as much as humanly possible to reduce my environmental impact.

So things I do
- bank with an ethical bank.
- I’ve planted trees and flowers
- I’m part of a plastic free community with single use plastic.
- I found an environmentally sustainable printer
- I have removed AI automation where possible
- I use Ecosia not Google
- I regularly campaign for our natural world (have been since I was 8)
- I cycle and use PT as much as possible.
- I haven’t purchased new clothes in almost 2 years (except for a pair of shoes I have giant feet!)

Autumn vibes in Melbourne. Time to get cozy and embrace the cooler days, darker moodier skies, romantic candle lit rooms. I love the dramatic change, and I love weddings that embrace this tone.

Some people think wedding photography in winter months might not be as fun or vibrant. But imagine dancing in the autumn colours, vibrant fun flash photography, cozy yet wild dance floors, cocktails in the corner. Winter months can be full of fun!

On a chilly, rainy Thursday in Melbourne these two lovely people got married in Melbourne town hall with their two best friends. I will honestly never get tired of capturing beautiful city weddings. No matter how many times I’ve been to parliament steps it’s still beautiful! I’m still finding new ways to capture this space.

We spent two hours wandering the city and do you know what happened, the rain stopped, and brief patch of sun came out. The beauty of Melbourne is you can always find a new spot, a different point of view, a new scenic lookout point over the city. Beverly a dull moment! Whether it’s raining or sunny the city changes colour and is more pretty.

Winter elopements are lots of fun, dodging rain clouds and creating beautiful images that you will cherish.

A proposal just as the moon rose. I love going on adventures! Driving to places far and wide, hiking up mountains, adventure and my quest to see all the beauty in the world is what drives me sometimes. This spot so incredibly special, Wilson’s Promontory nation park, a unesco world heritage site. You feel so far away as if you’re on another planet here. The sky is jet black and not a single bit of light pollution.

I adore all weddings and proposals no matter where they are.

Ive got some amazing adventures lined up this year, Daylesford, Grampians, and a beautiful forest.

2027 taking expressions of interest for Iceland, Scotland, and Ireland. Will be announcing next week.
