Sydney Trains / NSW Trainlink XPT 2008 on the 428 Dubbo to Sydney Express & Endeavour 2854 on the Bathurst Bullet, speed through the site where the former Hartley Vale station once stood.

Instead of straightening the track after demolishing the station, the tracks still swing out around the old platform space to this day, leaving this the only evidence to prove the station once existed.

Sydney Trains V sets V25 + V10 in heritage livery, leaving Lithgow as W524 to Sydney Central at 5:47 am on 30 January 2026. This marked the final V set revenue service on the Blue Mountains Line and the end of a 55-year era for the NSW Intercity network.

Sydney Trains V45 and sister units speed through Summer Hill on tonight's W587, bound for Lithgow.

No matter how many times I use this camera at night, I’m always amazed by its performance - the AF tracked almost perfectly in complete darkness.
