Quick visit to Lysterfield Lake Park this afternoon with my husband. Been quite awhile since we've visited there together. Was a lovely sunny winter's afternoon.

In this shot are Eurasian Coots and Silver Gulls on the shore of the lake, foraging for food.

Didn't realise we had ivy that's in fruit till I followed this immature Australian King Parrot male around my garden. Ooops, need to get rid of that ivy! In the meantime, isn't the King Parrot gorgeous? His colours matches that of the ivy and fruit.

So sad people falling for AI images thinking they're real. Just saw one of a young koala drinking from falling water with two birds watching. Cute, but not real.

But the photo below is real and I was thrilled to get it with the crest open. This is a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo at Braeside Wetlands.

I have a new page at https://www.facebook.com/kookaburraglimpses and invite you to follow it. A recent page I've seen has inaccurate information about Kookaburras which concerns me, so I thought I'd create my own page. After all we have 5 living on our property currently and have had at least 2 or 3 here in all the years we've lived here in Selby. So I have lots of photos and some videos of these gorgeous birds. If you'd like to know more about Kookaburras then please do follow the page and let others know about it.
