🐾 Snickers came along to this session and honestly, it wouldn’t have felt right without him.

I loved watching him shadow this family’s son all afternoon. Wherever one went, the other wasn’t far behind. ❤️

These are the kinds of relationships that deserve to be remembered too.

Because our dogs are never with us long enough, but somehow they manage to squeeze themselves into some of our favourite memories. 🐶✨

One of the things I really wanted to create for this beautiful mum was a collection of photos that would instantly take her back to this exact time in her family’s life.

Not just photos of what they looked like, but photos that would help her remember how it felt.

This is one of my favourites from our session. ❤️

As mums, we’re often so busy taking photos of everyone else that we forget to step into the frame ourselves. And years from now, these are the photos that become priceless.

Bring along something your child loves.

For this young man, it was soccer ⚽️

It was an instant conversation starter and such an easy way to help him feel comfortable in front of the camera.

I asked him about his team, his position, the tricks he can do with the ball and suddenly we’re chatting away like we’ve known each other for years.

The best part? It adds a little piece of his personality to this family’s photos and helps tell the story of who he is right now.

I know.

They won’t see what you saw in the mirror. They’ll see their mum.

You won’t remember all the things you were so hard on yourself for.

I may or may not have a heat pack on my back after today’s four ‘back-to-back’ (excuse the pun) photo sessions … but I’d do it all over again. 😊

Started the morning photographing a fun family of four at The Powerhouse, then headed off to photograph an extended family who were celebrating their matriarch’s 80th birthday today with a photo shoot at home. Then a quick trip to capture the baptism of the sweetest little boy in Woolloongabba and last but not least a gorgeous 1st birthday celebration at Hills of Rivermakers!

You probably wouldn’t expect a review like this from someone who updated their Headshot … but yes, it’s actually fun! 🎉F...
