The songs I've created are an expression of art—a way for me to process and express my inner world through words and music.

I can't play an instrument, and I certainly can't sing well enough for human consumption, so I've embraced technology as another creative medium and has become my instrument, allowing me to bring melodies and emotions to life that would otherwise remain trapped in my head.

I'm an incredibly empathetic and passionate person, and these songs, written by me, are deeply rooted in my lived experiences. Every lyric comes from genuine emotion, reflection, and the moments that have shaped me. Writing has always been one of the ways I make sense of the world, and music allows those words to take on another dimension.

For me, these songs exist at the intersection of the modern world and my inner world—a juxtaposition of technology and raw human emotion. The lyrics, concepts, and stories are mine; technology simply gives them a voice that I couldn't create on my own.

As a creative soul, these are created for me. A gentle reminder to slow down, dance, breathe and embrace my inner child - as she is beautiful. ✨️

Much love

Olivia xx

Another song I wrote straight from the heart. It just flowed out onto paper naturally ✨️

Verse 1
Every single person is warning me,
telling me to run,
telling me I deserve so much more.
And I finally think I'm done.
Yet you keep pulling me back in,
like a current I can't outrun.
Why am I so attached to you
when I feel I'm already done?
Verse 2
You use my words against me.
You threw me to the ground.
I was screaming out for help,
and no one was around.
I was so scared to leave,
like I'd done something wrong.
You twisted my reality,
and I questioned it all along.
I stayed...
almost as if I had to prove
I was worthy of being loved.
Chorus
I break free from the web,
only to be pulled back in again.
Chasing the dopamine like it was a drug,
as if I needed another hit.
I rise from the ashes,
only to fall back down.
Why am I so scared to leave?
Why am I so scared to run?
Can someone who hurt you
ever be the one?
Verse 3
Do I enjoy the pain
and all the suffering?
Masochistic tendencies...
Has God sent me this
as a final test
to see if I have grown?
Will I be brave enough
to release what no longer aligns?
Or am I trying to save him,
even though I know it's done?
I know I don't want to hurt him,
but hanging on
will only come undone.
Bridge
Why am I so scared to run,
to climb that hill?
Mountains are meant to be hard.
No one wins by playing small.
Something inside me
feels connected by soul,
even though he's bad for me.
Can someone truly change?
Or is it all just a game?
I'm worried about the next victim
caught in the trap.
He fills my cup right up,
then drains it just as fast,
like there's a crack at the bottom
that can never be filled.
Final Chorus
I break free from the web,
only to be pulled back in again.
Chasing the dopamine like it was a drug,
as if I needed another hit.
Why am I so scared to run?
Why am I so scared to leave?
What is the universe showing me?
Is this...
Finally...
About choosing me?

This song I wrote while walking along Seven Mile Beach last year. It was written for one of my best friends who I abandoned for love. ✨️

I wasn't sure whether to share my creative expressions on this platform.

Then I came across something that really resonated with me:

"Social media is about sharing your creativity with the world, and your people will find you."

I've been writing on and off since I was a teenager. Recently, I found my old journals, and they've been filled with all kinds of thoughts, poems, and pieces of my younger self. I've been slowly unpacking them.

I even found a song I wrote when I was 17.

What's surprised me most is that so much of what I've been writing lately naturally comes out in song form too.

So I thought... why not embrace technology and let some of my words become music?

Not to chase success or impress anyone.

Simply to create songs that lift me up, excite me, and become something I genuinely want to listen to.

This isn't about other people.

It's about expressing myself.

The heartache. The beauty. The joy. The challenges. The healing. The moments that light me up.

That's what passion feels like to me.

And that excites me.

If you'd like to listen to some of the songs I've created, I'll put the link in the comments.

Yesterday, I was driving along a country road, and before I'd even left home, I said to a friend, "I think I'm going to see a rainbow today."

I just knew.

As I drove, there it was beside me. For a moment, it felt like I was driving right through the middle of it.

Then I looked in my rear-view mirror...

Bam.

There she was.

A beautiful, bold arc of colour stretching across the sky.

I pulled over straight away, climbed out of the car, and simply soaked it all in.

It filled me with so much joy.

I felt like a little kid again.

And in that moment, I realised it's okay to be completely delighted by something that might seem so small, yet is incredibly beautiful.

It felt like a quiet message from the universe:

"You've got this. do what makes you happy." 🌈

I found the key to the hidden room.

The strange thing is, it was with me the whole time. I was just too scared to try it, too scared to open the door and find out what was waiting on the other side.

Now that I've unlocked it, I've been hit by a wave of emotion. A wave of connection. Almost a tsunami of regret.

But maybe I had to arrive here now. Maybe I wouldn't have been ready before. Maybe I didn't have the tools to understand what it all meant.

Because opening that door has taken me back to my inner child. Suddenly the pieces are connecting. I can see where I am today, and I can see what's been keeping me stuck for all these years.

It's scary.

But it's also fascinating.

I used to write all the time when I was younger. Looking back now, I can see why I struggled to trust people. Why I longed for a soulmate, for that once-in-a-lifetime connection. Why I wanted to be loved so deeply.

The funny thing is, even as a teenager, I already knew you had to love yourself first.

Somewhere along the way, I forgot.

I abandoned myself for love, over and over again.

I became scared to tell my truth because I was afraid of being judged. Afraid of being criticised. And underneath all of that was the fear that maybe I wasn't enough. That if someone saw the real me, they wouldn't love me.

I think that's the turning point.

I don't think I've just wanted to write a memoir. I think I've always wanted to be a writer. I've always wanted to express myself through words.

I just grew up believing creativity wasn't something you could build a life from.

Even now, I see it through my son. He's writing his novel and creating amazing art. He's chasing adventure. He's travelling overseas for a year. People have said I'm living through him.

I'm not.

He's reminding me of who I was before I convinced myself I couldn't chase those dreams.

When he told me he wanted to live overseas, I made sure it happened. I wasn't going to let him carry the same regrets I carried.

In helping him become who he's meant to be, he's helped me remember who I was always meant to be.

And maybe that's one of the most beautiful gifts a child can give a parent.

It's not too late, Olivia.

You've already written a book. You've already touched people's lives. You've already shown your heart.

This isn't the beginning of a dream.

It's the return to one.

Sometimes I think about what people would say if I died tomorrow.

I don't think they'd remember my mistakes.

I think they'd remember that I loved deeply. That I cared fiercely. That I kept trying. That I made people feel seen.

And maybe that's enough.

I am enough.

I am love.

I am light.

The darkness was never something to hide. It was never proof that I was broken. It was part of my story, and it led me here.

I don't have to keep hiding the parts of me that hurt.

I don't have to keep pretending they never existed.

The light isn't beautiful because the darkness disappeared.

The light is beautiful because I finally had the courage to shine it into the places I'd spent a lifetime trying to keep hidden.

Love Olivia xx
