🔥🐴 WINTER WARMERS FUN DAY – PONTVILLE 🐴🔥

What better way to warm up a chilly Tasmanian winter than with a great day out with horses! ❤️

Yesterday, Pontville came alive for the Winter Warmers Funday, hosted by TPSI, with a fantastic day designed to bring horses, ponies, handlers and riders together for some fun.

The event was open to all horses and ponies and their handlers/riders, making it a wonderful opportunity for everyone to get involved, enjoy some time in the saddle and have a bit of fun along the way.

A huge thank you to TPSI for hosting such a great winter event and to everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success. 🥰

🏇 **That's a wrap on the 2025/26 Elwick season!**

The final meeting at Elwick for the season saw the spotlight fall on the feature **Sires Produce** for the two-year-olds, with **Valley Star** proving too good. Trained by **Leanne Gaffney** and ridden by **Kirra-Lee Lane**, the talented youngster claimed the feature race in impressive style.

It was also a successful day for **Anthony Darmanin**, who rode a winning double to continue his consistent form.

Adding to the feel-good stories of the day, **Jackson Radley** returned from Melbourne for the weekend and made an immediate impact, partnering **Captain Cam** to victory for his former master **John Blacker**.

Congratulations to all the winning connections, and thank you to everyone who has made another fantastic season of racing at Elwick possible. We look forward to doing it all again next season!

A memorable day at Hobart with plenty of milestones and standout performances on the track.

It was a day to remember for apprentice rider Kirra-Lee Lane, who celebrated the first riding double of her career before going one better just over an hour later, completing her first career treble in a remarkable afternoon in the saddle.

Trainer John Keys also enjoyed a successful day, preparing a winning double, while In The Ocean proved too strong in the Open Handicap, giving trainer Sarah Cotton and jockey Troy Baker another win.

The feature event, the Alexandra Plate, went the way of visiting apprentice Bree Temple, who produced a well-timed ride aboard Buzzoffski to claim the race for trainer Leanne Gaffney. Gaffney completed a race quinella, with Valley Star finishing second to round out an outstanding result for the stable.

Congratulations to all of today's winning connections on another terrific day's racing at Hobart.

❄️ A cold and wintery day at Hobart provided the backdrop for a competitive nine-race program on Sunday.

Lauryn Bingley made a welcome return to the winners' circle in style, booting home a winning double, while trainer John Blacker continued his strong run of form with an impressive treble across the afternoon.

The feature event belonged to the in-form Taroona from the Barry Campbell stable, with Troy Baker producing another polished ride to guide the talented galloper to victory.

🏇 HOBART RACING JUNE 7 WRAP 🏇

There was plenty to talk about following a terrific day of racing in Hobart, with plenty of standout performances.

Anthony Darmanin made a winning return to the saddle after a lengthy injury layoff, taking little time to find the winner's circle aboard Geegees Mercedes in Race 2.

The jockey ranks were dominated by Erica Byrne Burke, Sam Kennedy and visiting Victorian apprentice Bree Temple, who all rode doubles on the program. It was a particularly memorable day for Temple, recording the first riding double of her career.

Local trainer John Keys also enjoyed a day to remember, preparing three winners on the Hobart card, while Stuart Gandy continued his strong run of form with a training double.

Adding to the celebrations for Tasmania, Cartoon Graveyard delivered a superb performance to capture the prestigious Swan Hill Cup, giving connections a feature race success on the mainland.

Pink Cup Day delivered a fantastic day of racing for a great cause, with plenty of highlights both on and off the track 🎀🏇

It was doubles all round with Erica Byrne Burke, Codi Jordan and Jabez Johnstone all riding two winners, with Jabez backing up after his city success at Sandown yesterday. John Blacker also trained a winning double to continue the stable’s strong run of form.

Daytona Diva first-up was outstanding winning the feature, returning from her staying campaign to absolutely dominate the 1200m sprint in an impressive performance.

A terrific crowd, great atmosphere and wonderful support shown for charity made a cold winter's day memorable.

A beautiful Mother’s Day race meeting in Hobart with plenty to celebrate trackside! 🌸☀️

Mark Ganderton took two horses south and both saluted giving the trainer an early birthday present, while Polly Brewster celebrated her first Tasmanian winner aboard Lawrenny Boys for John Keys who was still celebrating Swift Forces Caulfield win from the day before.! 👏🏇

Great racing, a fantastic crowd and perfect autumn sunshine made for a terrific day at on track.

Perfect conditions on track yesterday with the sun shining and a great crowd on course creating a fantastic atmosphere! ☀️🐎

Erica Byrne Burke and Troy Baker both showcased their class, each riding a well-earned double on the program. 🔥

It was also fantastic to see Victorian apprentice Bree Temple make her Tasmanian debut in style, saluting aboard the very promising Flying Concello – a win that looks like it could be the first of many!

Tasracing also displayed some Off The Track horses working on the front lawn, with demonstrations of Showjumping, Light Horsemanship, Clark Of The Course and Show horses.

The weather wasn't great but it was a fantastic day on the track with plenty of highlights and great performances across the card!

The girls set the tone early, with Erica Byrne Burke kicking things off from Friday night by riding the first winner — making it 6 in a row! 🔥👏 An incredible run of form!

It was also great to see Georgie Catania and Lizzie Annells both punch home winners, continuing the girls leading the riding ranks 💪

And a special shoutout to Glenn Stevenson, who celebrated his birthday in style by training a winner with Toganmain making plenty of punters sing - literally! 🎂🥇

Good Friday turned into a great friday with Launceston races!

Riding honours were shared by both Codi Jordan and Erica Byrne Burke, who each booted home impressive doubles to cap off a fantastic day in the saddle 🔥🐎

On the training front, it was also a day out for Glenn Stevenson and John Blacker, with both stables producing winning doubles — a great reward for their hard work behind the scenes 💪
