..photography shouldn’t be seen as ‘expensive’ or ‘not expensive’. That’s not the goal. Photographers are never aiming to be ‘the most expensive photographer’ out there, that’s not how we ‘win’ or ‘make it’.

The goal is for people to see the value we provide, at whatever price point they choose.

I had a comment last week from someone who didn’t see that value, and it made me realise it’s not something I talk about enough.

✨ Documenting your daughter’s 3rd birthday party, so you can be in the moment.
✨ An easy family session with your kids, your parents, and your (ageing 🥺) dog.
✨ An hour or two of photography at your engagement party to get cute updated photos with all your favourite people.
✨ Photographing your networking event, your conference, your companies employees or workspace to lift your website and socials to the best they can be!

THIS is the value photographers bring 💛 (and as for prices, they’re always available on my website, no commitment needed)

I received this comment on one of my advertisements in a lovely local Facebook group the other day, and it got me a bit 🥲 to start with…

Everyone’s priorities are different, and I know cost of living and stage of life means not everyone will value professional photography. That’s so fine.

I’ve found so many beautiful clients from recent advertising, and those people ARE my people, so one persons opinion can shake me but it’s not going to make me change my pricing, or advertise any less.

Daniela and her boys 🩵 I’ll always say, every single family shoot is so different and always tailored to you.

With boys 5 and 2, this one was very high energy, learned very early that getting the boys to move around instead of sitting still was the key, to ‘do things’ rather than pose would always get the most natural happy expressions!

We walked, we ran, we went on the swings, we played trucks - some expressions were suitably insane but we also captured the most gorgeous cute moments as a family!

I took a few minutes early on to build some trust with the boys who were showing some nerves, so we put the camera down and just ran and chatted and played for a bit, and we still had plenty of time to catch all these moments and feel more comfortable!

If you’re worried about how your kids will go, it’s no stress to me at all! Chat with me when we’re planning and I’ll suggest what I can to ease any anxiety, and take the time on the day to work with you and the family!

Even if there’s nerves, we’ll build trust and you’ll never regret getting photos done 🩵

We did hair changes, glasses swaps, changed tops, which gave us a HUGE variety of images that don’t all look like they were taken in the same half hour! 💁🏻‍♀️
