- My name is Sarah. I'm an Australian 27yr old, Self-taught Artist/Photographer with DSLR Canon camera.

My favorite thing to capture is the wildlife and nature around me, particularly birds and plants. -� Beginner Wildlife & Nature Photographer as I am just starting my journey I am only learning, mainly self taught, although wildlife and nature isn't the only thing I do it is my favorite and will be my main focus but im always willing to learn other types and techniques to ofc. �

We got an opportunity to see this beauty that landed at Lismore airport, NSW on Friday afternoon.

This aircraft is a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Leonardo C-27J Spartan, a medium-sized military transport plane which is operated by No. 35 Squadron based at RAAF Base Amberley.

These aircraft are used for humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and tactical airlift, bridging the capability gap between helicopters and larger transport planes.

The bird in the image is an Osprey (also known as a sea hawk or fish hawk). 

Ospreys are medium-sized, fish-eating raptors with dark brown upper parts and white underparts, they have an ability to dive completely underwater to catch fish.
Sadly in some areas of NSW they are sadly listed as a vulnerable species.
