I read messages like this and my heart explodes a little. I do a happy dance in the kitchen. I feel like I’ve done exactly what I was made to do.

There’s no bigger compliment to me than you recognizing your own beauty and seeing what I saw the second I met you.

And of course the love and connection between you and your family 🫶🏼

That’s the whole thing. That’s why I do this.

Dear partners, nobody’s asking you to become a photographer. Just slow down, get closer, take more than one, find her some light. She’s nine months deep, her heartburn is killing her and she can’t fit into her shoes anymore because: cankles. She’s given up her body and can’t see how beautiful she is right now. You can. So show her.

And if she books a shoot, it’s because she wants you in it too.

Before I moved to Australia, I had the stereotypical picture in my head of what this country looks like. Desert, kangaroos, and everyone carrying a crocodile around. Crocodile Dundee was my only reference 😂. Little did I know how diverse and ridiculously beautiful this continent is. Yesterday I had the privilege of taking pictures in the Northern Rivers hinterland, and it reminded me so much of home. Except for the palm trees and kangaroos, I guess 🦘

I promise you I’m not trying to be rude, I’m just German 😅 We got raised for maximum efficiency and for some reason that also means we say things out loud exactly as they are, probably to save time. So sometimes I might come across as a little too direct.

On the upside the one thing you can count on with me is that you’ll always know 100% what you’re getting, because there’s no filter. ✌🏼😂

But just in case : I’m sorry 🫣
