I don’t think you’ll ever look back and wish your kids had sat perfectly still or smiled on cue. But I do think you’ll want to remember the way they fit in your arms, the giggles, the cuddles, the chaos, and the little details that made this season yours.

If you’ve been thinking about booking your maternity, newborn, baby, motherhood or family session for the second half of this year, this is your gentle reminder to pop it on the to-do list.

Shoot #2 .kindredcreatives workshop 🥰 I’d be lying if I said this session didn’t spark something in me.
portraits shared so much of her magic, but what resonated most was her approach to photography. Embracing movement, connection, and trusting the flow of a session rather than chasing perfection. It aligned so much with how I’ve always loved documenting families. And gave me one of those ahh ha moments that reassured me that I am exactly where I’m meant to be creatively.

❤️ Creative growth isn’t always about reinventing yourself. Sometimes it’s about leaning deeper into what already lights you up.

This moody, storytelling vibe is definitely outside my usual comfort zone, but wow... I loved creating these .kindredcreatives workshop on the weekend. 😍

It was honestly so much fun stepping out of my comfort zone, in a room full of photographers, trying new things, and letting my brain see photography in a different angle.

I came away from this shoot feeling inspired, energised, and already thinking about ways I can bring some of what I learnt into my own work.

A good reminder to all creatives…Sometimes growth happens when we give ourselves permission to play, experiment, and be a beginner again.

This is only shoot one. There’s more to come 🫣

Half way to ONE // River 💕

It’s no secret I love babies, especially when they get to this age! 😍 They’re starting to learn to sit up on their own. Might be learning to crawl and bringing all those beautiful gummy smiles and choonky rolls.

It’s really one of those stages that doesn’t last long enough. And before you know it they’re up on their feet and keeping you on your toes.

It’s such a fun stage to capture. Full of personality, curiosity and all those little details that seem to change overnight.

Welcome to the world // K A Y S E N ❤️
I know for some families, there can be worry around booking newborn photos when your baby may still be on oxygen or needing a little extra support.

Please know…beautiful memories are absolutely still possible.
Your baby’s safety and comfort will always come first, so we work around what they need on the day.

Sometimes that means capturing those little tubes in the photos because they’re part of your baby’s story right now, and sometimes, if it’s safe to do so, we can gently remove them for a few quick images too.

I never want parents to feel like they have to wait for “perfect” circumstances to document this season.

One day you’ll look back and see so much more than tubes or oxygen support. You’ll see how tiny they were. How loved they were and how incredibly strong they already were.
