Corio Bay Camera Club

Corio Bay Camera Club provides a friendly atmosphere where members and visitors can socialise and improve their photographic skills.

We encourage membership from all age groups and skill levels. Experienced members actively assist newcomers. The club was formed in June 1954 as the Ford Camera Club by a group of Ford employees and has been a member of the Victorian Association of Photographic Societies since 1956. We have been known as the “Corio Bay Camera Club” since September 1, 1977 and became an Incorporated Association in

April 1985. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome to come along to our meetings which are held at 7.30pm on the 1st, 2nd, 4th & 5th Thursdays of the month from the fourth Thursday in January to the last Thursday in November at Virginia Todd Centre, Geelong West. See Map

Special Interest groups also meet at other times. Contact Us for more details. The annual adult membership fee is $60 (Pensioner, Junior, Student or Concession $50).

Marilyn Prime from the Baccus Marsh and District Photography Club judged our entries in the July Monthly Competition, in which it was great to see of our “B Grade” members scoring extremely well. Here are the top scoring images.

Our June Monthly Competition was judged by Shelley McKiernan from Geelong Camera Club. In addition to the regular "Open" sections this month's competition also had a set subject section of "Sports Action". Here are the awarded images from a large number of high quality entries.

Our Annual Landscape/Seascape Competition was held last Thursday in conjunction with our Annual General Meeting. Sandy Mahon judged a high quality set of entries. The awarded images are shown here..

Our April Competition consisted of three sections – Open Projected Images, Open Prints and a Set Subject “Spheres” in Projected Images. In all we had 138 entries across the sections – probably the highest number in many years. We are very grateful to Mark Bloothoofd for the time and effort put into judging this competition and for his thoughtful comments.
