Game 3 done and not the result fans wanted but everyone loves to see a close series! And while and his boys are hoping to create the next chapter of basketball history, this painting celebrates the card that became the benchmark for all of it.

Before the rings and the legacy and the GOAT debates.

A rookie card and the start of something truely special.

Who have you got taking the series and writing their name in the history books?

One I painted for last year.Fun fact, I still have the original box that I used as the reference.

Goodbye to an old friend. Off to a new home but joining another of my shopfront paintings.
I’m so appreciative of anyone that supports my art, but it feels great when a collector adds another to their collection!!

Thanks so much for your support!

Here’s some detail of the tiny dots I referenced in my last post. I couldn’t find a photo of the punch but it was about a 1mm hole punch used for leather work.

I started off cutting them, then used a small drill bit, then I got the punch and it was a game changer!!

One of my favourites from the crush series is this .beer that took some creative thinking to get through all the tiny dots I needed. Instead of cutting them all I used a small hole punch and worked through it that way!

I’ve posted this one a few times. It’s my most ambitious work I’ve done which has 18+ layers. I actually lost track because I kept coming back to make little changes as the months went by. Small things like adding an additional shadow under the awning, or an extra highlight on the pole.
I love it and hate it at the same time because of what a challenge it became.

It is currently on display but available to buy and I’d love to see it go to a home that can appreciate the work involved.

Most people think art is the final touch in a home.
In reality, it’s often the thing that gives the home its identity.

Furniture fills a room but Art gives it emotion, personality and memory.

The spaces we spend time in directly affect our mood, focus, energy and mental wellbeing. A room without your personality can feel temporary, cold or disconnected, even when it’s beautifully styled.

But when you add artwork that genuinely connects to your interests, experiences or taste, the entire atmosphere changes.

A space starts to feel calmer, more inspiring, more lived in, more personal and more emotionally grounded.

That’s because meaningful art creates visual stimulation and emotional familiarity at the same time. It reflects who you are without needing words.

Don’t buy art because it matches your couch.
Buy pieces that make you feel something every time you walk past them.

Swipe to see the difference one artwork can make.

Stencil work is a cumulative process. Building by layers to create shadow and depth that at the start seems a distant possibility, but as each layer is added that depth starts to show until you finally add that pop of highlight that ties it all together.

Some of my favourite things to paint are found objects. Items I’ll pick up on a walk that have a history tied into its form.

Let me know what you’d like to see painted and let’s make it happen!

From a found object to the final piece.

I often struggle with the idea of showing you the layers, the work involved and just post the result.

But these pieces are built from a stack of decisions: cuts, tones, and ideas that either work…or ruin it.

The plan now is to open up my thought process and show as much as I can of my art practice to build understanding and appreciation for a style that often gets overlooked.

If you have a question about any of the process drop a comment or DM and I’ll do my best to answer!
