Susan and Louis met working at Maccas when they were sixteen years old which honestly feels like proof that soulmates can absolutely begin with frozen Coke machines and loose nuggets.

And somehow their story only gets sweeter from there.

These two are both fraternal twins and share the exact same birthday. The statistical odds of that alone are apparently over one in many million according to Susan’s mum, who absolutely nailed the assignment with her speech in only the way a mathematician could (and I’m not going to do that justice - can someone comment the stats again??). Then add on the fact they met as teenagers and built this whole beautiful life together? Truly one of those stories that makes you pause for a second and admit the universe might just be one big old cheeky thing after all.

These two have been together forever in the gentlest of ways. No fuss, no performance, just wholesome and kind vibes. The sorta connection where you can tell they genuinely love doing life together, whether that’s trying Melbourne’s best restaurants, spending slow mornings on the couch yelling answers at the quiz, or hanging out with their gorj pup Marvin, who just about stole the show.

And honestly, their wedding felt exactly like them. Thoughtful, relaxed, deeply loved-up and centred entirely around good food and good people. Day one was the sweetest intimate little registry office ceremony followed by Cutler with their nearest and dearest. Day two rolled into Cumulus for more feasting, more wine, more speeches and a lot more dancing.

The absolute sweetest humans. Thank you for having me!

Steph & Yvette are the kinda couple that make you believe the universe is out here intentionally bringing people together 💫

Timing is everything for these two who met in a beer garden back in 2014 while celebrating completely different birthdays, both freshly out of rough relationships and very much not looking for anything serious. One random Sydney night later and now here we are over a decade deep with a packed dancefloor full of people absolutely losing their minds for them.

These two have built such a beautiful little world together. Interstate moves. Surviving COVID in a one-bedroom apartment while both working from home. 12 countries together. Cocktails on the couch. Regional Victoria getaways with their pup Freya. Big career jumps and even bigger love.

Everything about their day floored us, all under the wonderful roof of East Elevation. Their reception felt less like a wedding and more like the world’s most exclusive q***r house parties with Sarah Mac on the decks.

Also no wedding cake. Just Tarts Anon. Which is objectively the correct decision.

One for the books, babes 💜

Buckle up, cowgirls. You’re all gonna lose your little minds over this one. I sure bloody did and have been dying to share their wrap for the last week. So are yas ready for the greatest love story ever told? Coz lemme tell you I took n o t e s of their story…

Tash & Dee met on an app and skipped straight past the small talk. First date, coffee, no expectations. But sitting across from each other something shifted. Legs brushing under the table, both of them clocking it, neither of them pulling away. That quiet, electric kind of chemistry that doesn’t need explaining.

They both walked out of that café completely spun. You know that feeling when something just lands. That was it, and it didn’t fade, it just kept building until it was clear their lives were meant to be intertwined forever.

There’s this moment they both come back to: out in a paddock on the family farm, fresh winter air, dogs running around. Dee looks over, Tash in a bright blue jacket turns and smiles, and that’s the moment. Clear as anything. That’s my person.

Four years on and it’s a full, busy, beautiful life for these two. Farm days, four kids, a whole cast of animals, cooking with a glass in hand, negotiating playlists somewhere between country and everything else, and learning how to share food which has been a… journey 😉

They’ve got the most sought after sheep on the block, the most handsome horse you’ve ever seen, and a home that’s constantly bustling that’s exactly where they both want to be.

Sometimes it’s clear as day for me how two people still can’t get enough of each other; that they’d still miss each other when they’re apart, and chose their connection every single day. Wowsas, you two. Finding and protecting a love like yours is one for the ages. Thank you so much for choosing me to capture the celebration of it 🥹

Once these two matched, Anii slid into Theo’s DMs with a very important question: what counts as sh*tty aka good music? Thankfully there was immediate agreement of anything on a So Fresh CD (shout out to gay icons tATu) et viola - their banter would start from there and I’m pretty sure everyone present to their connection would agree that it feels like it’s never going to end.

From their first date on it’s been espresso martinis for Theo, spicy margs for Anii, and a symbioses that’s effortless. For these two, calm meets chaos in a way that actually balances, in which Theo steadies the ship and Anii brings a huge ass energy to their day-to-day. The wedding day had that exact same energy ft a little bit cheeky, a little bit chaotic, but completely grounded in how much they care about each other and the consideration for each other and all their details exemplified this. Disco ball spinning, drinks flowing, incredible food, and zero pressure to be anything other than themselves.

Truly tho the space was uuuuunnreal. The Post Office Hotel looked particularly stunning thanks to Theo’s vvv talented sister Lu ! With their ceremony being led by our fave girl Renee the Celebrant - and then straight onto DJ duties like the boss she is - with a bangin’ f**kin’ hangin’ and a gorjy cake by Zee. Dream team tbh!

We bloody love yas. What a day 💜

STEVEN & JAMES 💜

My time with these lovebirds started before the wedding with a pre-shoot so their dogs could be part of the ceremony without actually being there… coz let’s be honest, they would’ve brought just a little too much personality to this room 😅 Instead, their fam portrait was placed above the fireplace at Old Palm Liquor and it landed as one of those quietly perfect, deeply personal touches that made the whole space feel like theirs.

Steven & James met online 😉 first date by a fireplace, Christmas tree glowing, on the literal day gay marriage was legalised in Australia (destiny obvs)! A few too many red wines, never ending talking and chemistry off the charts means these two just kept on going. Eight years later and here they were tying the knot.

Important note for the archives: future plans include becoming the cool, slightly chaotic, extremely well-dressed old g**s of Fitzroy. We’re talking espresso martinis at 4pm, impeccable taste, and absolutely no intention of slowing down. We all fully support this trajectory, boys 💅🏼

Morning champaz. Choreographed dances. A ceremony full of laughter. Cue Kylie, Gaga, Madonna for a dancefloor that absolutely delivered. It was a party to remember #✨

HANNAH & HELEN 👼💘

The team had an incredibly special Saturday being lucky enough to shoot both epic love parties at The Altar Electric, starting with the first hitchin’ of the day, Han n Helz!

These two dreamboats endured more long distance throughout their relationship than anyone I’ve ever heard of and there ain’t enough kudos in the world for making it out the other side, all the way to landing at the altar of love.

The Lesbi Run mums and icons of Naarm didn’t just throw an epic wedding, they seem have expanded their community even more by bringing in pals from all corners of the world to celebrate together. Days like this really prove how generosity in giving comes back tenfold. What a bloody beautiful thing to experience 💜

Christmas Eve with Sean & Olajide 😍 honestly what a way to end a huge year overflowing with wonderful couples!

It was a treat to be in The Old Marylebone Town Hall with their favourite people packed in close who gave the biggest confetti toss of the day. Then pints at the local followed by an intimate dinner at The Ivy Chelsea because of course 💅🏽

Alll the fits were just unreal. Bold, joyful… no notes. And Olajide doing it all in white platform Crocs is a serve I’ll be thinking about for a long time. Just effortless, icon behaviour tbh.

The heart of this day was beyond. Truly so full of energy that I actually cried during speeches. I mean Love Actually could never and there’s nowhere else I would’ve rather been on Christmas Eve than right here with these two.

If you ask these two how it began, they’ll grin and say — like all great love stories — Hinge. A little typo about talking dogs, a plan to watch Scooby Doo for the vibes, and one low-key drink at Daddy’s Bar that somehow stretched to six hours of talking on a couch until closing time. Ambrose went home “giddy as hell,” and Mia? She’d just met the woman who’d become her favourite part of every single day.

Mia says she fell first — Ambrose was singing Joni Mitchell at a picnic, and Mia secretly recorded her, watching that clip a thousand times with a big dorky grin. Ambrose fell watching a movie together, realising she’d be absolutely devastated not to spend her life with Mia. From that moment on, there was no going back.

They’re two soft souls who make the mundane magical by doing crosswords, sharing cocktails, dancing in the kitchen and taking detours just for a few more minutes of laughter. Mia says Ambrose is sweet, warm, intelligent, sexy, and funny. Ambrose says Mia is silly, confident, and totally at ease with herself — the kind of person who brightens your world the second she steps into it.

My goodness, are these two setting the bar for how lovers should talk about each other or what?! We are so lucky to have been chosen to capture their beaming joy for each other. Thanks for having us, you angels 🥹

Bryce and Keiran’s connection started the way many q***r love stories do: a little cheeky, very unexpected, and one they’d be retelling for the rest of their lives ✨

One wild night out 14 years ago and a mix-up that’s now legend among friends set the stage for what was to come. When they reconnected online years later, it was like the universe giving them a second chance.

From their first offish drink, it was all effortless connection. Late-night chats that never seemed to end, music always playing, espresso martinis in hand, and that kind of fun that feels easy and rare. They live life full — traveling, beach swims with their pups, hosting friends, and proving that a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget is absolutely achievable.

Their wedding was pure magic. Joy, glitter, laughter, and love spilling out of every corner. A big, beautiful gay bash that felt entirely and unapologetically them.

These two continue to remind everyone around them that love can be loyal, playful, and a little mischievous. Just like the night it all began 😉

Happy 6 months, sweet babes!
