An old stone homestead beneath one of the best night skies you could ask for. 🌌

Captured near Crookwell, NSW, with the Milky Way stretching across the sky and a little light painting bringing the old building back to life.

There’s something special about these forgotten country buildings after dark — a bit of history, a quiet landscape and an incredible sky overhead. Blended image

A splash of colour in the winter bush. ❤️🖤🤍

One of Australia's most striking little birds, the Scarlet Robin, never fails to catch your eye. Against the muted tones of winter, that brilliant scarlet breast shines like a tiny beacon.

Despite their bold colours, they're surprisingly easy to overlook as they quietly perch, watching for insects before darting to the ground for a quick meal. This little male was kind enough to pause just long enough for a portrait.

This tiny crimson mushroom was only a centimeters tall, but what really caught my eye were the tiny insects making their way up the stem. Macro photography has a way of revealing these hidden moments, turning an ordinary walk through the bush into a search for miniature landscapes and the creatures that call them home.

🍄 The Forest's Recyclers 🍄

This tiny pair of mushrooms may look delicate, but they play a vital role in keeping our forests healthy. Fungi are nature's recyclers, breaking down dead wood and organic matter and returning valuable nutrients to the soil. Without them, forests would quickly become buried under layers of undecomposed plant material.

The sky looked like polished marble, with swirling veins of orange, gold and violet flowing across the clouds and reflecting perfectly in the still water below. Combined with the mist and silhouetted trees, it felt like nature had painted its own masterpiece.

Captured here is the Milky Way rising above the ruins of St John’s Church at Bolong, in the Upper Lachlan Shire. Built in the 1860s, these weathered walls have stood through generations of change — and on clear nights like this, beneath thousands of stars, it feels like time stands still.

The old trees, the silence of the paddock, and the galactic core stretching skyward made this one of those moments you just stop and take in.

A beautiful reminder of how history and nature can come together in the dark.

Standing out in the paddocks as the sky exploded with colour, watching the last light of the day fade across the horizon, was one of those moments that makes you stop and appreciate just how incredible nature can be.

No crowds. No noise. Just country air, a glowing sunset, and the quiet before nightfall.

Before the first rays of sunlight break through, this dragonfly sits perfectly still, covered in tiny droplets of morning dew. Every wing, every eye, every delicate detail glistens in the cool dawn air.

In these quiet moments, nature presses pause. The dragonfly waits patiently for the warmth of the sun to dry its wings before taking flight once again.

The Binary Dubai by Omniyat. The project was launched in 2006 by Omniyat Properties and was completed in 2015. The Binary features five connected podium levels with 21-storey and 24-storey above ground, three basements and a ground floor. The bi-tower structure of the building is inspired by the binary code and enhances the mesmerising waterside view.

A little slice of alpine history — Coolamine Homestead on the Cooleman Plains.
Built in the late 1800s and used for summer grazing right up to 1970, it’s one of the most intact high‑country pastoral sites left in Kosciuszko National Park.
Log huts, slab huts, a cheese house… and a whole lot of stories in the timber.
