I am a mother to two wild boys Parker & Benjamin, and a devoted Fiancé to Jacob who works FIFO. I have held a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember and have always had a true passion when it comes to documenting life and all the raw moments! Just so we can laugh a little longer, remember the love and warmth from that special day again and again, enjoy that fiery sunset with no worry of it setting anytime soon & remember the little kicks in your belly before your little one made their arrival. In my spare time you will find me adventuring and chasing them magical sunsets with my family, & just soaking in all the deep bellied laughs, love and the pure beauty of what this amazing life has to offer!

I was a professional equine photographer for 8+Years, but then I took some time away to start a family and in that I discovered something so incredible!! What a wild ride it has been & what a blessing to have my camera with me 24/7 to document these fleeting moments. My children have woken a fire inside me and now I am here to capture your Journey through Motherhood ! From that first announcement to your growing belling and you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be there to capture the love and raw beauty of you bringing that little one earth-side. 30 things about me, because somehow I’m nearly 30! 🥹🤎

For the old faces and the new, here’s a little about me!

1. I’m Jasmine, but Jas is fine!
2. Mum to three boys. The first two are 11 months apart! 😂
3. Jake and I have been together eight years, building a beautiful life for our boys.
4. Type B girly with Type A aspirations.
5. ADHD brain, always thinking!
6. I LOVE MUSIC always time to dance!
7. We have 3 horses, 2 dogs, a snake, a lizard and 2 shed cats.
8. We love camping and travelling. Cape York last year!
9. My long-distance bestie hears all my nonsense and business ideas over FaceTime.
10. I’m a sucker for anything nostalgic.
11. I’m deeply empathetic. I think it’s why I love capturing memories.
12. I work part-time photographing / working with beautiful Gypsy Cobs!
13. I grew up in foster care. It doesn’t define me, and some wonderful carers are still family to me.
14. I love humour and people who are unapologetically themselves.
15. I’ve usually got 47 ideas happening at once.
16. I’m a Christmas Day baby! Yep, born on December 25th. Sharing your birthday with Christmas is definitely an experience!
17. I’m spontaneous. Emotional shopping and horse sales are a dangerous combination! 😂
18. I used to fear getting older. Now I just want to enjoy the ride.
19. I’ll always stop for a sunset photo.
20. I love cooking and baking, and learning as I go.
21. I love getting lost in a good book.
22. Big dreamer and an even bigger cheerleader for my friends.
23. Thousands of photos on hard drives, hardly any printed. The irony!
24. We’ve loved and lost some beautiful animals. The goodbyes never get easier. Capture the memories!
25. Sewing is another creative hobby I love.
26. I’m a deep thinker and a sentimental soul.
27. Happiest at home with my family, animals and open paddocks.
28. I love writing.
29. Birth photography has my heart. With young kids and little support nearby, being on call is tricky. I’d return in a heartbeat. Any tips?!
30. Heading into my thirties, I’m grateful for the life we’re building and excited for what’s next.

Jasmine Kerr Photography is becoming Letters to Us.

It’s still me, the same girl behind the camera, just with a little more life lived and a different perspective on what I want to create.

Between work, motherhood, horses and everything in between, I’ve taken some time away from photography. But I’ve never lost my love for it. If anything, I’ve realised just how much it means to me.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how quickly life passes. How the ordinary days we barely think twice about will one day be the moments we’d give anything to experience again.

The little hands, the familiar faces, the laughter, the chaos. All the things that make your life yours.

I’ve always loved writing and storytelling. And somewhere along the way, I’ve become guilty of letting technology find the words for me. I miss the imperfect, honest things that come straight from the heart. The things that make us feel something.

And that’s what I want my photography to do.

Letters to Us is built on the idea that a photograph is a letter to your future self.

A little piece of the life you’re living right now, waiting to be opened years from today.

I want to know your stories. I want to capture the people you love, the connections you share and the season of life you’re in, exactly as it feels.

I want photographs on your walls, in your family albums and in the hands of your children long after they’ve grown.

Photographs that one day make you stop, smile, maybe shed a tear and say, “Do you remember when?”

Because one day, the ordinary life you’re living right now will be the one you wish you could visit again.

And I hope my photographs can take you there, even if only for a moment.

So here’s to a new chapter, and to telling your stories in a way that lasts.

the art of remembering how it felt.

There are moments in life that don’t just stay with you… they settle deep in your soul. This was one of them.

Being there for you, not just to document, but to feel it all alongside you is something I will carry forever. Watching you labour with that quiet strength, that fire, that humour that never left even in the hardest moments… you were everything a woman is meant to be in birth. Powerful. Soft. Unshakable.

And the way you and your husband moved through it together… the looks, the touches, the way he held you, grounded you, believed in you it was more than just birth. It was love in its rawest, realest form. The kind you don’t pose, you don’t stage… you just witness.

I don’t spend much time in the birth space anymore… but being there reminded me that it never really leaves you. It sits quietly in your chest, waiting. Calling you back in the most unexpected ways.

And for the right story… for moments that matter like this… I will always make space.

Because these aren’t just photos.
They’re the beginning of everything. 🤍
