fantastic pictures of this behaviour
Estuarine Crocodiles are known to be able to eat the toxic introduced Cane Toad without showing any signs of being poisoned.

Saltwater crocodiles have been observed eating one of Australia’s deadliest invasive species without falling ill.

Recently photographed a tourism delegation on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, including Tongan Princess Pilolevu Tuita, her daughter Frederica and the Australian High Commissioner to Tonga Brek Batley.
We joined a wonderful tour with Mandingalbay Authentic Indigenous Tours to learn about Trinity Inlet and the historical culture in the region. The princess said she felt very moved by the smoking ceremony and discussions with the team.
I was keen to also learn more about the Indigenous Protected Area Plan which gives national recognition of numerous locations throughout Australia that rightly gives representation the many thousands of years of local connection to country.

Today the 14th of August is world lizard day!
Over 6000 species of lizard have been described, with many more to be discovered and properly named! Lizards form a vital part of any ecosystem, living in every continent except Antarctica.

This is tropical specialist, the Borneo Forest Dragon (Gonocephalus bornensis). Their amazing eyes and dorsal spines blow me away!
Thanks to Lupa Masa Rainforest Camp for showing me around this beautiful area.

Another Bornean Orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus); this time at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre near Sandakan in Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia. The centre is co-operated by the Orangutan Appeal UK and Sabah Wildlife Department
Around 75 Orangutan inhabit Sepilok-Kabili Forest Reserve, and a number of orphans are cared for at the facility. While deforestation is the primary driver of the species' decline, there are also cases of poaching for the international wildlife trade.

This large male had obvious cheek pads or flanges. The flanges actually move and contract like our cheeks and convey a lot of emotion!

I've been posting wildlife pictures like crazy so I'd better change that at least once...

Here is my friend Rachel in a beautiful Kimono in the gorgeous town of Arashiyama outside Kyoto, Japan.

It is in fact

This is the Bornean Horned Frog (Pelobatrachus nasutus), a species I've wanted to see for probably twenty-five years.
Thanks so much to Lupa Masa Rainforest Camp for having me!

Lupa Masa is a private rainforest camp adjacent to Kinabalu National Park in Sabah, Borneo

They have astonishing camouflage and incredible eyes. These magnificent amphibians are coloured and shaped like leaves on the forest floor. The ridges over their eyes do indeed look like horns!
