The whole family.

This litter was two years in the making — a Polish sire, a lot of patience, and one very dedicated breeder. By the time I arrived to photograph them, Dee already knew exactly who each one was.

Six of them are in their new homes now. Poppy is still packing her bags for New Zealand.

Dee, thank you for letting me be part of this. It was a privilege.

Meet Poppy.

The last of the seven to leave — and she's not quite ready yet. While her six siblings have settled into their new homes, Poppy is still with Dee, waiting to meet the international requirements before she can fly. She's heading to New Zealand, to a show and breeding home.

Dee's been calling her a Diva. I'm not going to argue with that.

Meet Pippa.

The merle girl of Dee's International Litter at Kolorko Kennel — and if you've been following this week, you'll know these merle pups were placed very carefully. Pippa headed to Sydney, and I have a feeling she already runs the place.

She had that energy from the start.

Meet Monty.

Monty headed to Country NSW last week, which feels about right for a dog with a name like that. Some dogs are just built for wide open spaces.

His new family have no idea what's coming.

While six of his siblings packed up and flew interstate or overseas, Soda stayed right here in Brisbane. The homebody of the litter.

Meet Augie.

Of the seven pups in Dee's International Litter at Kolorko Kennel, Augie travelled the furthest (so far)— all the way to Melbourne, Victoria. New state, new life.

He looked pretty relaxed about the whole thing.

Meet Howie.

One of 7 from Dee's International Litter at Kolorko Kennel to fly to his new home last week. Howie headed to Country NSW — and honestly, country life suits a border collie just fine.

His people are going to have their hands full. The best kind of full.

Part of Dee's first-ever blue merle litter at Kolorko Kennel— bred from all-international lines. One of two very special blue merle boys in a litter two years in the making.

Meet the Kolorko International Litter.
Seven border collie pups, one very patient mum — all with genetics from across the globe.
I had a great time photographing this lot for Kolorko Border Collies. Seven individual personalities, and not one of them sat still for long.

A little behind the scenes from today’s puppy shoot with Kolorlo Kennels’ International litter.

These seven little pups are 6.5 weeks old now, and they were an absolute delight. Full of personality, full of mischief, and very much at that age where everything is interesting for about five seconds before they are off doing something else. Puppy photo shoots are always a mix of patience, timing, plenty of puppy cuddles, and just embracing the chaos, and this litter definitely kept me on my toes.

This is just a small sneak peek for now, with plenty more photos from the shoot still to come. I already know there are some very sweet images in this gallery, and I’m looking forward to sharing more soon.
