Can’t sleep because my brain is trying to convince me that buying more gear will magically make me an even better photographer. Absolute BS.
A new camera won’t make my client feel safe enough to finally stop hiding her body. A more expensive lens won’t build trust. Fancy gear won’t hype someone up when they’re shaking with nerves 10 minutes before their photoshoot.
The thing that actually makes me a better photographer is holding space for women.
Creating an experience where my beautiful clients feel safe, seen, respected and comfortable enough to let their guard down. That matters more than having the newest camera body on the market.
That’s why I’ll always invest into improving myself too. Courses. Business education. Personal development. Learning how to communicate better. Learning how to guide better. Learning how to create an experience my clients never forget. ✨
Because people rarely remember what camera you used. They remember how you made them feel.
Better gear doesn’t automatically make a better photographer.
…but unfortunately it does help and I am still a little gear obsessed 🤦🏻♀️👀
