One thing I do love about working alongside other vendors on wedding days is you always leave with new ideas, fresh inspiration and usually a few people in your corner who love what they do just as much as you do.
When , and .com.au host a workshop, you get exactly that - front on, in your face, at full (or the fullest?) volume. Super exciting to watch how everyone works, how everyone sees, and what everyone brings to a frame differently.
And sorry to everyone I bumped into when I forgot again that someone is 5 people standing behind me. 🙃

Huge thanks to .com.au - you guys are fantastic and put on a stellar day!

Moving frames from Sophia and Jayden’s wedding yesterday at The Warehouse in Brisbane.
The day started with a tea ceremony in the morning, and then we moved over to the warehouse for the main event. We did little interviews with their friends throughout the day, and pretty much everyone said the same thing. They are well aligned, both creatives, into the same things, and you could really feel that in the room.
The whole day kind of felt like a big banquet with friends and family. Lots of chatting, lots of good food, people properly hanging out with each other. And then at some point everyone let go on the dance floor, which is always the moment you know the day landed.
More to come from this one soon.

Wanted to share this for a while: April and Matty’s wedding in November 2025 was one of those weddings that reminded me why I love this job so much.
There wasn’t literally a single dry eye during the speeches, a storm rolled in and they danced it away, and you could feel how much family means to both of them in the room the whole time. A wedding about two people who adore each other with all their quirks and all their history, but also about two families quietly becoming one.
I was there for photography first, but ended up filming parts of the day too. And this mini film is what came out of it. The core of the day, basically.

Jayde & Bryson on film 💜

A few test shots with my new film camera 🎞️
I’m not quite at the point where I’d offer film in my solo photo + video packages yet. (If you book me as a photo/video team with one of my photographers, it’s already possible.)
But it’s honestly so much fun, and I wanted to share a few frames.

Bryson and Jayde’s wedding was such a personal wedding. And I mean that twice - Bryson is my brother-in-law, they celebrated on our family’s farm, and these two just happened to throw one of the most no-fuss, no-performance wedding I’ve ever filmed.
Just them, their favourite people and a lot (!!!) of laughing.
I was barely working.
Can’t wait to get into this edit and so so glad I got to be there.
And - best sparring partner. Hope we work together again 😊

Many wedding films chase the same shots - drone shots, sunset moments, slow motion. Even mine. They look stunning though. But these shots are not what makes you actually rewatch your film in ten years. Story is.
If you want a film that prioritises story, send me a dm with your wedding date.

I used to stress heaps about family photos. Worrying over getting 14 people to smile at the camera at the same time while a toddler has a meltdown.

Later I learned: The photo where everyone cooperates? Nobody cares!

The photo where dad’s crying laughing and the flower girl is upside down? That’s the one that ends up on the fridge for a decade.

So now I don’t try to control every aspect. I just stand close, give gentle prompts or stay quiet, and wait for the moment everyone forgets I exist. That’s when the good stuff happens.

If this is how you want your wedding remembered - link’s in my bio to check if your date’s still free.

The wedding season is rolling again, so I’m sharing a few shots from Michelle & Stefan’s wedding, one of the most genuine and emotional weddings I’ve been part of recently.

Moving stills from Michelle & Stefans Love Story Session. Their film is not going to be focussed on their wedding only.
It’s telling the story of who they already are. And maybe teach you how to bake to best scones ever…
