Kirsty & Mitchell, I’ve been wanting to share this for a while ( and thanks for giving me permission to do that). Guys! Your wedding was incredible in so many ways. My four highlights:
1. The farm, and all those farm flowers. It’s hard not to be obsessed with this place.
2. The b**r you brewed yourselves.
3. A seating chart made by a psychologist (aka the bride) matching people by character and interests. Holy moly, it worked so well! I’d still love to know why Cooper and I ended up where we did, though. But it worked!
4. Your tree planting after the ceremony. You now have a tree down in that grove that will always remind you of your first day of being married. How amazing is that?

Congratulations again. There’s more to come 🧡

Jes put months into that room, turning Obi Obi Hall into something properly hers.
Liam put the whole day into making sure she got to enjoy it.
While he was getting ready he said he just wanted it to be the best day for Jes.
At the end of the night he admitted
it had been his too.

Kirsty + Mitchell’s wedding two days ago felt very intentional down to the tiniest tiniest details, that made the day feel so uniquely them.
Home-brewed b**r, a psychology-approved seating plan, aka all the little things that could have felt “for show”, but didn’t, they just felt like a natural part of the day. And a natural part of what Kirsty and Mitchell are.
So here are a few little frames from their wedding. I tried to match that same feeling: a little unpolished, real and carried by the audio of the day no extra music, just raw sound this time).

I love to end a film on a voice, not a shot - the couple’s own words, or a speaker’s, as it all comes together. That’s exactly how Sophia and Jayden’s film closes, and it still gives me the same chills that I felt hearing Jayden’s speech on the day.

Jayden lets himself be so vulnerable in his speech, so open about his dedication to their marriage, while together, in their own words, they show what it really means to stand beside each other through the hard times too. I loved how their words and the footage came together to show exactly who they are 🤍

It was the first wedding I’ve filmed where the rain just didn’t let up all afternoon. And it was one of those days where not a single person cared. Everyone leaned all the way in. Big emotions, so much love, so much care for each other, and all the room in the world for the silliness and the big characters packed into that tent.
It was so genuine and so real that my favourite thing to do was just watch. Watch everyone be exactly themselves, watch them celebrate these two absolute cuties. Excited to work on your film soon!

Capturing such an authentic, genuine and infectious love is always the part we vendors thrive the whole day on. What a happy day, my heart is still full. Also: The Dairy Ravensbourne is … I don’t know, I feel like… stunning, remarkable and breathtaking don’t even do it justice. It feels effortless and still extraordinary and refined with every little detail. Sorry, can’t describe it any better, but I hope I get the opportunity to shoot there again one day.

I’m still obsessed with how good this day was. And it shows: you don’t need a fancy venue, sometimes the place that means the most to you is the most magical one.

Bryson and Jayde picked the family farm, a spot that was theirs long before it was ever a wedding venue (for one day), and that’s exactly where the beauty lives.
