Sometimes it’s just about slowing down for an afternoon, heading to your favourite place, and documenting this season as it really is. Sandy feet, wriggly kids, cuddles in between.

Most sessions don’t feel perfect while they’re happening. They can feel a little chaotic, a little loud, and sometimes like nothing is going to plan at all. But then you see the photos and realise just how beautiful this season really is ✨

I don’t think I’m the only one who hits a point in pregnancy where nothing fits…
and you kind of lose your sense of style a bit

heading into A/W makes it feel even harder
your usual pieces don’t work the same
jeans aren’t really the go-to anymore
getting dressed just feels like more effort than it should

but your style doesn’t have to disappear

a few small shifts make a difference
sizing up
softer silhouettes
leaning into pieces you already love

The sweetest big sister.

And if you’re here reading this, pregnant with your second, and quietly stressing about how a newborn session is going to go with a toddler in the mix… I get it.

Because you’re picturing the chaos. The running off. The refusing to sit still. The stubborn “no” when you ask for a cuddle.

And honestly? That’s all completely normal.

That’s actually what it looks like.

I don’t try to force kids into stillness. I don’t ask them to perform or behave in a way that doesn’t feel natural to them in that moment.

We just… work with them.

If they’re in the mood to join in, amazing! I’ll gently step in and grab those moments while they’re happening.

And if they’re not? If they’re busy, wiggly, full of energy and absolutely not interested in sitting for a photo… we play. We move. We laugh. We find little ways to bring them in without it feeling like a “sit still and smile” situation.

And somehow, in all of that, the photos still happen. The real ones. The kind where you look at them later and think that’s exactly what it felt like.

My beautiful girl, captured at home in those early, hazy weeks ✨

I’ve only just got around to editing these (juggling two is no joke), and it already feels like a lifetime ago. She’s changed so much. The newborn scrunch, the sweet little noises, the scrawny little limbs.. already gone. Where did the time go?

Such a pinch-me moment, being able to capture these memories of my own little one. I picked up the camera after having my son, so this felt incredibly full circle for me. From new mum with a dream of making this a reality, to documenting my own babies in this season of our lives.

I can’t believe she’ll be 5 months next week.

From a mum and a newborn photographer who is right here in the thick of postpartum again, trust me when I say, you truly will never regret capturing your babies this little. The newborn fog lifts, the weeks not only pass but fly.. and suddenly they’re not quite so tiny anymore 🥺🤍

What I love about studio maternity, is the space that it gives us.

Space for bold, editorial moments.
Or space for something softer.

They can include little hands on your belly.
They can hold the in-between moments.
They can feel simple and present rather than posed.

In the studio, we strip everything back so the focus stays on you, your body, your family and this season.

Whether that looks powerful and refined or quiet and connected… it’s still intentional.

This rebrand has been sitting with me for a while.

As I’ve grown and evolved, not just as a business and creative, but personally through motherhood and life, it felt only right for my brand to grow with me too. I knew I wanted it to feel like an extension of me. Not just how it looks, but how it feels. Warm, grounded, and intentional. A space that reflects the way I work and the moments I’m most drawn to.

Working with .studio has been such a special part of this process. Elli didn’t just bring the vision to life, she understood it. My work, my pace, my values. It felt like a true collaboration, and I’m so grateful for her creativity, care, and talent.

This new chapter feels more aligned, more intentional, and really reflective of where I’m at right now, both creatively and personally. It’s more than a new name or logo. It holds meaning for me, and reflects what I pour into my sessions, how I see, and how I want your images to feel.
