Some days the job is easy. Put a newborn in soft pretty layers, wait for the perfect sleepy face, done. 😍.. Okay it's never actually that easy but she made it look like it. I'm sure my 17 years on the job help with that as well 🤣

Photoshoot #9 with this gorgeous family and now getting ready to welcome baby number 3! I love this first photo... mum and dad enjoying a small moment of calm while the boys are just being boys, a family capture in this moment of life.
I love getting to catch up with them each time, watching the family grow and seeing the boys' little characters change more every visit.

This little miss … 7 weeks old and slept right through her session … normally at this age they are a little more sensitive to touch and a little more wakeful … but she was happy to let me just pose and move her. There really is no set menu when photographing babies. I always have a bit of a plan but ultimately bay takes the lead for the day 💕

So tiny and new
That fresh, still-a-bit-squishy stage that disappears in about five minutes flat.

This is exactly why I love newborn sessions. You blink and they’ve changed. I get to help you pause on it for a minute and actually keep it.

No rushing, just a calm pace, time for feeding and settling studio, coffee or tea in hand while I capture the little details for you.

So many newborns get these little spots and bumps in the first few weeks. It’s completely normal and nothing to worry about, just baby’s hormones settling down.

The good news is it’s an easy fix in my editing, so by the time you get your gallery back bub’s skin looks as soft as it feels.

If your little one’s due for their newborn session don’t stress about timing it around a breakout, it can be fixed if you wish. You can an always check with me a day or so before if ever you are unsure .
