I haven't posted in a while, but in light of a recent announcement I wanted to say a few things.

The Centre for Creative Photography played a pivotal role in my life and independence. I grew as an artist and a person. Many amazing teachers such as Sam, Syd, Ken and Mark all inspired me to be the best I could be.
I meet people who are still my friends today, these people inspired me then and now.

What can I say about the closure of the CCP? It's sad, for those amazing teachers who made it what it was. It's sad for those students who lost something in the drama of moving, going more digital and now its closure.
Am I surprised no.

My time at The CCP ended with abuse and this almost stole photography from me.
When someone you looked up to turns out to be an abusive drunk and takes it out on you it leaves scars.

I'm not sad for him, he set fire to this dream and now his upset about watching it burn.

That's all I have to say about that.

When other artists go to your old locations and make light paintings.
This location hasn't been as cool since the redevelopment.
Interesting to see it light-painted again.

I have fond memories of 2 friends and I light painting here and being escorted out by the cops for trespassing lol (in 2016)

And still have lots of fantastic images.

Guys. My darling friend Cass received the devastating news that her cancer is back and…it’s not good. Help me help her. I am now offering my “f**k cancer” pin in a range of colours. Don’t worry, non-sweary safe-for-work varieties are available. Long time no see.
Many of you know me from Roller Derby, many of us are now retired. But most of you also know the amazing Cheery, also known as Csss Lia.
Cass is fighting cancer again sadly.
So here's an update from her page. If you can help with any small donation to help her and her family out them it would be very much appreciated.

"Blossoms, as you all know, Cass is having daily radiation and weekly chemotherapy now. She’s not currently able to work, but the bills they just keep coming! You all made an incredible effort last time we plugged this but if you possibly can, we need you to dig deep again and help our girl get through these next few weeks of intense treatment during which she can’t earn that much needed money.

Many of you here know Cass and her family as most of us all meet through Roller Derby.
Cass is an amazing person and has been an wonderful friend to me over a number of years.
Sadly she is again frighting cancer and this time its going to be a much bigger fight for her and her family. Shes in pain, waiting on major sergery and today had to leaver her job becase she is to unwell to work, and wont be able to return for some time. Shes run out of sick leave and holiday leave. So her and her family are now going to have to try and make do with one income.
If you can donate even the smallest amount to help her and her family during this time that would be truly amazing.
Many of us may no longer be in Roller Derby and some have moved leagues. Many of us are struggling becase of the state of the country right now. But lets please if you can lets help one of our own during a tough time.
