Getting the candid photos shouldn’t be hard 😌
Here’s the formula:

1. Think of your couples shoot as a reset, a time to hang with your best pal uninterrupted. Chat about the day, have laugh, have a drink

2. Don’t focus on the photos, focus on each other.

3. Let your photographer guide you, don’t be hard on yourself - the photos turn out better than you think

4. Don’t be afraid to get dirtayyyy, sit on the ground, lay on the footpath, swim in the ocean - the best photos take risks

5. Drown out the noises, take the extra 5 minutes holding each other. Don’t rush this time

Ok ok I’ll be the first to admit I LOVE a Pinterest board.
BUT they’re not meant to replicate our lives, they’re meant to inspire our dreams.

For instance, I put together a Pinterest board based on colors, aesthetic, and accountability for my own photography headshots. Then in real life I adapt to my own taste, style, and circumstance.

The moment we get too hard on ourselves for not having everything “picture perfect” is the moment we forget the reason we’re here in the first place.

MR & MRS CHAUDHRY 💍

What an incredible few days spent with the Kirkton & Chaudhry family as they came together to celebrant Kate and Akash.

After flying from Australia, I arrived to my hotel room to the sweetest present from Kate, with a little camera embroidered into a PJ top, some American candy and of course a Diet Coke!! Kate and I went to school together in Illinois and stayed friends over the years so when she asked me to shoot their wedding, I immediately said heckkkk yes.

Both her and Akash put so much love into their day, from writing hand made letters to each of their guests to providing a late night warm pretzel snack for everyone to enjoy when having a break from the d-floor.

Milwaukee officially has a piece of my heart ♥️
