Before I became a mum, I loved photography because it was creative. After I became a mum, I understood why it mattered.

Now I know just how quickly the little things disappear. That’s what changed everything for me.

When I pick up my camera, I’m not thinking about creating the “perfect” photo. I’m thinking about preserving the feeling of this season before it slips away.

So when someone says, “They’re just photos,” I can’t help but laugh. Because to me, photos are proof that this chapter happened.

And one day, I know they’ll mean even more than they do today 🤍

Almost every family says sorry before their newborn session even begins.

“Sorry... they didn’t sleep in the car.”
“Sorry our first born is full of energy this morning.”
“Sorry we’re running on no sleep.”

And every single time, I smile because none of those things matter.

Babies cry. They need feeds, cuddles and nappy changes. Toddlers have big feelings. New parents are tired. That’s not something to apologise for.

Your session isn’t about ticking boxes or creating a picture-perfect version of newborn life. It’s about slowing down for a couple of hours and capturing your family exactly as you are.

It’s always “SOO cute”!!

One of the first things I do when you arrive at your newborn session is take baby for a little cuddle.

Not because I’m rushing you out of the way, but because I’m getting to know the most important person in the room 🤍

Spending a few minutes learning their cues helps me create a calm, relaxed session that works with your baby, not against them.

Parents are often surprised by how quickly their little one settles, but after years of photographing newborns, those first cuddles are one of the most important parts of the session.
