"صناعة الفوانيس"
يجلس حرفيّ مُسِنّ في "هوي آن" في منزله، يُشكّل بعناية هياكل من الخيزران لصنع الفوانيس التقليدية. تُباع هذه الفوانيس كتذكارات وتُعرض في أرجاء المدينة القديمة، مُزيِّنةً الشوارع والأشجار والقوارب بألوانها الزاهية. كما تُستخدم في عروض أزياء "آو داي" التقليدية. أكثر من كونها قطعاً زخرفية، تُمثِّل فوانيس "هوي آن" الحِرَفيّة المحلية والتراث الثقافي والتمنيات بالسلام والسعادة والازدهار، مُنيرةً المدينة في ليالي اكتمال القمر والمهرجانات.

'Making Lanterns'
An elderly craftsman in Hội An sits at home, carefully shaping bamboo frames for traditional lanterns. These lanterns are sold as souvenirs and displayed throughout the ancient town, adorning streets, trees and boats with vibrant colours. They also feature in traditional áo dài fashion shows. More than decorative objects, Hội An’s lanterns represent local craftsmanship, cultural heritage and wishes for peace, happiness and prosperity, illuminating the town during full moon nights and festivals.

"التجديف بين كُتل الجليد"
يُظهر المشهد شخصين يُجدّفان بقاربيهما وسط كُتل الجليد الذائبة في بحيرة سد "زيرنيك" بمنطقة "غوربينار" في مقاطعة "فان" بتركيا. فمع ارتفاع درجات الحرارة وتفكّك السطح المُتجمّد، نقل الشخصان قاربيهما إلى البحيرة وانطلقا في رحلة بين بقايا الجليد، إذ يخلق هذا المزيج الفريد الذي يجمع بين المياه المفتوحة والجليد ورياضة التجديف، مشهداً شتوياً لافتاً يوثّق مرحلة انتقالية موسمية قصيرة في مياه السد.

'Canoeing Among the Ice Floes'
Two people canoe among melting ice floes at Zernek Dam Lake in Gürpınar, Van Province, Türkiye. As warmer weather caused the frozen surface to break apart, the pair transported their canoes to the lake and ventured between the remaining ice. The unusual combination of open water, ice and canoeing creates a striking winter scene, documenting a brief seasonal transition at the reservoir.

"رسالة سلام"
في إحدى غرف القاهرة بمصر، يتسلّل الضوء عبر نافذة صغيرة ليسلّط أشعته على تشكيلة من طيور "الأوريغامي" (فن طيّ الورق) باللونين الأبيض والأسود. وتدعو العبارات المكتوبة على الجدران إلى إنهاء الحروب وتعبر عن التوق للسلام، إذ يخلق التباين بين الطيور والرسائل المكتوبة بخط اليد حواراً بصرياً يجمع بين الصراع والسلام، مُوظِّفاً عناصر بسيطة -من أجسام ونصوص وضوء لتقديم رسالة مُفعمة بالأمل والتعايش السلمي.

'A Message of Peace'
In a room in Cairo, Egypt, light enters through a small window onto a display of black and white origami birds. Words on the walls call for an end to war and express a desire for peace. The contrasting birds and handwritten messages create a visual dialogue between conflict and peace, using simple objects, light and text to present a message of hope and peaceful coexistence.

"ضوءُ صيادٍ في عتمة الليل"
في ظلام الليل، يسير صيادٌ بين صفوفٍ من الأعمدة وشباك الصيد، حاملاً فانوساً يُلقي بضوئه الدافئ على وجهه وعلى ما يُحيط به. إنها لحظة عملٍ هادئةٍ في مجتمعٍ ساحليّ، حيث يستمر نشاط الصيد حتى بعد غياب الشمس. وسط الظلال العميقة يُنير الفانوس دربه كاشفاً عن لمحةٍ من الصبر والجهد والتفاني التي تدعم سُبُل العيش التقليدية.

'A Fisherman’s Light in the Darkness'
In the darkness of night, a fisherman walks among rows of poles and fishing nets, carrying a lantern that casts a warm glow across his face and the surrounding area. It's a quiet moment of work within a coastal community, where fishing continues after dark. Against the deep shadows, the lantern illuminates his path, offering a glimpse of the patience, effort and dedication that sustain a traditional livelihood.

"تحت وطأة الليل"
في ضوءٍ خافتٍ بأحد شوارع المدينة، ينشغل باعة الطعام بإعداد الوجبات، بينما يتجمّع الزبائن حول أكشاكٍ بسيطة. وتصطف الدراجات ثلاثية العجلات والكراسي البلاستيكية والمآوي المؤقتة على طول الرصيف الضيق، لتتحول إلى مساحاتٍ للعمل والحياة اليومية. وبالقرب من ذلك، يلعب أطفالٌ مع كلب في مشهدٍ يفيض بالعفوية ويتباين مع انشغال البالغين بأعمالهم. يوثّق هذا المشهد الذي يغلب عليه طابع اللون الواحد، مجتمعاً شارعياً، حيث تستمر سُبُل العيش وذكريات الطفولة وأواصر الرفقة، حتى بعد حلول الظلام.

'Beneath the Weight of the Night'
In the dim light of a city street, food vendors prepare meals while customers gather around makeshift stalls. Tricycles, plastic chairs and temporary shelters line the narrow pavement, serving as spaces for work and daily life. Nearby, children play with a dog, their carefree interaction contrasting with the adults at work. This monochromatic scene documents a street community where livelihood, childhood and companionship continue long after dark.

"ضباع الظلام"
في ليلةٍ ممطرةٍ بمدينة "أسانسول" في ولاية البنغال الغربية، يظهر ضبعٌ هنديٌ مخططٌ كخيالٍ باهتٍ أمام أضواءٍ بعيدةٍ منبعثة من عمليات تعدين الفحم. وتتداخل خطوط المطر مع عتمة المشهد، بينما تضيء أضواءٌ صناعيةٌ متفرقةٌ أجواء استخراج الفحم. إنها لمحةٌ نادرةٌ لحيوانٍ مفترسٍ ليليّ يتنقل في موطنٍ طرأت عليه تغييراتٌ جذرية، حيث تتعايش الحياة البرية مع الأنشطة الصناعية في مكانٍ واحد.

'Rain, Darkness and a Striped Hyena'
On a rainy night in Asansol, West Bengal, an Indian striped hyena emerges as a faint silhouette against the distant lights of coal mining operations. Rain streaks cross the dark frame, while scattered industrial lights illuminate a landscape shaped by coal extraction. It is a rare glimpse of a nocturnal predator moving through a transformed habitat, where wildlife and industrial activity occupy the same landscape.

"ألوانٌ في عتمة الليل"
في منطقة "صنديرغي" بمدينة "باليكسير"، لا تزال صناعة السجاد التقليديّ جزءً لا يتجزأ من الحياة اليومية. فهذا السجاد الذي يُصبغ بمواد طبيعية مُستخلصة من الجذور ويُحاك يدوياً بالكامل، يحافظ على براعة الحرفيين والتراث الثقافي لمنطقة الأناضول. وتُشكّل ألوانه الزاهية ونقوشه الدقيقة لوحةً بصريةً لافتةً وسط مشهد القرية. تعكس كل قطعةٍ ساعاتٍ من العمل المُتقَن وتقاليد حياكةٍ توارثتها الأجيال، لتكون بذلك رابطاً يجمع بين الهوية المحلية وتفاصيل الحياة اليومية والذاكرة الثقافية.

'Colours After Dark'
In Sındırgı, Balıkesir, traditional carpet weaving remains part of everyday life. Dyed with natural root pigments and woven entirely by hand, these carpets preserve the craftsmanship and cultural heritage of Anatolia. Their vivid colours and intricate patterns form a striking composition within the village landscape. Each carpet reflects hours of skilled labour and a weaving tradition passed down through generations, connecting local identity, daily life and cultural memory.

"الصيّاد واللحن الليليّ"
تحت سماءٍ تُزيّنها مجرة درب التبانة، يعزف صيادٌ على آلة الكمان في بحيرة "إنلي"، بينما يلتف رفاقه حوله على ضوء الفوانيس الدافئ. وبعد يومٍ من الصيد تملأ الموسيقى أجواء الليل، لتضفي شعوراً هادئاً بالأُلفة والرفقة. وفي ظل المياه الساكنة والسماء المُرصّعة بالنجوم، يُجسّد هذا المشهد لحظةً بسيطة من حياة الصيادين المحليين، حيث تلتقي الموسيقى بالطبيعة والتقاليد.

'A Fisherman’s Night Melody'
Beneath the Milky Way, a fisherman plays the violin on Inle Lake as his companions gather around him in the warm glow of lantern light. After a day of fishing, music fills the night with a quiet sense of companionship. Surrounded by still waters and a vast starry sky, the scene captures a simple moment in the lives of local fishermen, where music, nature and tradition meet.

"الارتكاز على إصبعين"
يوازن ممارس للفنون القتالية وزن جسمه على إصبعين، ُمستعرضاً بذلك تقنيةً جسديةً محكومةً ترتبط بالفنون القتالية الصينية. وتتطلّب هذه الحركة دقةً في التموضع وتوازناً وقوةً كبيرةً في الجزء العلوي من الجسم، إذ تُبرز لحظة التركيز والتحكّم الجسدي ما يتطلّبه أداء وضعية مُتقدّمة في الفنون القتالية من انضباط وتدريب.
