I Quit!
I think I took Instagram too lightly and didn’t understand that people now only describe you by what they see on your social.
This used to be my personal page, which then along the way became me sharing what I was most passionate about (which is cars) but somewhere I started being known as ONLY that…a car photographer.
Don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong in only being that but it takes a while for me to then tell people what I actually do and have done in my life and how from a making a living perspective this is the smallest aspect of what I actually do.
The second thing is the plan was NEVER to be a photographer! I picked up a cam in 2019 for the first time in my life and only learnt it because I thought I should know it since my agency was expanding in to offering those services.
The photography bug hit me hard and I started assisting in shoots and suddenly started receiving praise and then somehow companies were asking me to photograph for them and then I won awards for it and was conducting workshops for . Trust me when I say NONE of this was the plan.
So I think what I’m trying to say is I want to throw a spanner in this narrative and do a hard reset. I still love photography and content but I use it as a tool to tell a story better. It just so happens that I have the equipment to tell it better lol.
I think what was so great about coming to for me was I’d forgotten how it felt to just create for the sake of creating and just have fun with the process. So thank you Kazi for that 🙏
Will you still see cars here, HELL YES, but just not only that anymore.
Ok enough with this rant.
